What Every Home Based Business Entrepreneur Needs to Know to Make Money Before Starting a Business

After 28 years in Mortgage Banking and Real Estate I was fed up. It was always feast or famine in making money. The current economic collapse pushed me over the edge. There had to be a better way to make money. I wanted a home based business that was Recession proof and...where I could actually have a life AND make a lot of money. I found there were 12 key issues that helped me find my perfect business.

√ What Type of Business?

Tangible products (e.g. cars, computers) or intangible items such as services?

√ Want Immediate Income, Residual or Both?

In real estate and mortgage financing there is only immediate income, but insurance and some direct selling business models offer only a lot

offer only alot of up front money but also residual income.

√ Is Product/Service needed?

While the product or service is good right now, does it have staying power? Is it something that you can see being needed long term?

√ Skills Needed?

Do you need special skills or will you get ongoing training?

√ How much competition is there?

Is the market local or global? Is the market saturated?

√ Founders of the Company?

Do they have the expertise you are seeking? Have they demonstrated the value and stability of their business?

√ Investment Costs?

Every business requires not only a commitment but an investment. How long to recoup your investment?

√ Compensation Plan?

Does it offer multiple streams of income to make money or only a single product/service?

√ Marketing Plan?

How will you market your business? Is there a turn key marketing system in place or do you need to figure it all out yourself? Will you receive

the appropriate tools to become a Master Marketer?

√ Support and Training?

Do you have a Mentor? Are you affiliated with a strong community of like minded Entrepreneurs where you can hone your skills? Is there

ongoing, updated Education available to you?

√ Is Business Portable?

Can you make money regardless of where you live even if you decide to relocate or must you remain local to your current geographic market?

√ Is there an Exit Plan?

What happens when you decide to retire? Will your business still make money for you? Can you create a financial legacy for your heirs?

The last point I'd like to make is the most important. Are you willing to commit to building a new business or are you just looking for a hobby? Do you have the mindset that believes that, with the proper tools, product and support you will persevere to succeed? There are definitely some exciting business opportunities that can be done and the current economic crisis is showing that this is actually the best time to start.

Jan Allen has been in the Mortgage Financial Services and Real Estate industries for 28 years. She has successfully built a business from scratch in a previously untapped large niche market and then sold it to a $27 Billion Dollar company. As a business consultant in the brick & mortar world of business, she has helped both individual professionals and large companies develop unique, proactive strategic plans for generating higher profits. As a Baby Boomer, over the past few years she has watched and studied the phenomenal growth of the Internet and how it has impacted the way business will be done in the future. When the predicted economic crash started she knew it was time to change her business models so she began looking for the best economic vehicle for her to take her business to the next level in the 21st Century. She sought not only a strong, viable company with which to affiliate with, but one that was progressive. She chose to work with CarbonCopyPRO because she is mentored by the Top Internet Marketing Experts in the Industry and it provides a phenomenal and powerful turnkey marketing system. Jan says she can ultimately put the system on autopilot so that I only want to spend my time working with serious people who share the same goals as I do and are committed to making their dreams a reality. CCPRO's ongoing training is second to none in learning how to become a Master Marketer and Jan has the privilege of working with an amazing community of successful Internet Entrepreneurs. This has been a life changing experience and every day is truly a pleasure! I only wish that I had known about this earlier."

Business Innovation Business Innovation - Hi Simon If you can finish off the Business Plan and think about your strategic direction or how you are going to use your product to convince people it's a great idea, it will set the foundation for your programming project. You see, when you are looking for funding you will need a Business Plan and Strategic Plan that will convince companies to invest into your new idea. Has anyone achieved this idea before using another industry besides health and fitness that you know of? You should also design some mockups as a "preview" for your programming project. This will also help reduce your programming costs as everyone will know exactly what you want if you have detailed mockups already completed including any functionality you require. Starting mockups for websites and software applications on paper is the best way if you're not a guru in graphic editing software.
