Travel Websites

You are always looking to go somewhere new. An, you can't wait to return home so that you can share all the details of your trip. So, why not look into starting some travel websites? It is much easier than you think and you may even get some great deals from travel companies if you are out of town often enough.

One of the best ways to get your travel websites started is to create a blog. Most of these blogs are free to start and you can write as much as you want. You should also include pictures so that the people viewing your site will be able to experience some of the beauty of the destination. Check out Blogger.com or WordPress to start your travel website today. You will need to have a Google email account in most cases, but you can set this up for free as well.

You can also use free website builder tools like Geocites in order to create travel websites. There are easy instructions to follow that will help you publish the text you have written for the site, and you can update the material as often as you like. You can even maintain your site when you are traveling from your mobile device. If you want to create a site that is "community' so that the people following your posts can comment and respond, this will make your vacation time much more interactive.

Make sure that you include pertinent information on your travel websites so that you can keep readers coming back. For instance, you can write a series of blogs about traveling with children. How do you keep them occupied during road trips? What are some vacation resorts that will be fun for the whole family? At what age should you take your children on vacation? Or, you can create blogs about the most affordable ways to travel. Be sure to do your research, so you can point readers to the best deals for airfare, hotels and rental cars.

You should also take a look at the travel websites that you visit often in more detail. Look at the design details on sites like Travelocity.com or Expedia.com. What about the sites catches your eye? Are there specific colors or graphics that catch your attention right away? Are the sites easy to use? When you answer these questions, you will be able to make your site much more appealing. There are also some flash website builder tools that you can use to make sure that your travel websites are much more interactive, and readers can write feedback or click on links to other travel sites of interest.

Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas - Michael, In order to help I would need more detail. Travel and Telecom are pretty broad categories. I develop and design websites and I could help but not without a lot more information on what niche's your targeting. For example are you trying to just target people in and around Chicago or the whole United States.
Re: Alexa Ranking Goals Re: Alexa Ranking Goals - Hi Evan, Thank you! I have been upgrading my websites to Wordpress and more actively adding content to them. The only exception is the one decliner, Japanese-Mahjong.com which I hope to upgrade and revive early next year... New Alexa ranking objectives: Japanese-Games-Shop: 350,000 Free-Wordpress-Websites: 120,000
Re: Re-Branding and Re-tooling Re: Re-Branding and Re-tooling - Dear coopadventures.com Sounds like you are on the right track. Websites and advertising go hand in hand. A great website can be built in 20 min. It can be like a great restaurant in the desert with no roads leading to it. A website must get traffic to turn a profit.

Re: Revenue Streams for Websites Re: Revenue Streams for Websites - [quote="DarrenR":1t1a9pho]First of all forgive me because I am really a newbie when it comes to online businesses. I have been playing with the idea of creating my own website. Basically, I am looking to create a content based website with revenue generated through advertising. (The content is still somewhat undecided as I am debating between a couple of ideas). My question is; what specifically, are the different and best ways that a content based website can generate revenue? Thanks Darren[/quote:1t1a9pho] It is great that you are planning to join the bandwagon of Internet Websites. You have not given any information on what your content is going to be about. I can suggest a couple of ways to make money using the website but I feel that at the moment you should focus more on the content that your website is supposed to have rather than on how to make money. If the content is good and you can retain the interests of the visitors this will keep them coming back to you. Many websites die very early on the Internet as they have too many things on mind. Remember, slow and steady wins the race. It’s the same rule out here too. Focus on one thing at a time, build a brand and add value to the site. Money will roll in once you have sustained competition.
