Do You Know These Link Building Mistakes?

The majority of the online marketers realize that to be successful with SEO, getting relevant backlinks to your site is important. Marketers are serious about finding as many relevant backlinks as they can to achieve great rankings and get a lot of traffic. However, there are many times when these link building efforts don't yield the right results due to some common mistakes. We all make our mistakes in business, and at times these mistakes can be expensive. That is why it's always a good idea to try to learn from others whenever possible. This article will show you how to deal with these linking mistakes, after you learn how to spot them.

A common error is choosing an image to make your backlink if you can make a text link from one of your keywords. One of the reasons webmasters tend to ignore the minor details is because they're in a hurry to build their links and get results. Anchor text falls in this category. Even though an image link is absolutely fine and if well made can get you higher traffic, it's always good to have your keyword in the anchor text for successful SEO. There's a common misperception that an image link is always preferred over text links. Your traffic will be much more targeted because you'll be ranked for the correct keywords. Search engines, especially Google, give great emphasis to keywords that appear in the anchor text. An image link is acceptable if it's the only link available.

Another common link building mistake is trying to get your link on a page full of other links. You'll see better results from a backlink pointing at your site from a page that isn't overloaded with large numbers of other links going to other sites within your niche too. Some of these link pages can have 200+ backlinks on them, so putting your link in with them won't help your efforts much. You might also find sites and directories like this have 'nofollow' tags on any non-paid links they add.

Even if a directory has 200+ links on a page with all 'nofollow' tags on them, ask to have your link excluded from the tag so it will count. You'll make your links more powerful by taking advantage of the suggestions you just read about. All these mistakes are easily taken care of now that you're aware of them.

Type of business with building Type of business with building - If you owned a building and Wal-Mart was opening its doors across the street in a previously unoccupied area (along with 12-14 small shops), what type of business would you start? Here are the considerations: 1. Money is a non-factor 2. Building is fairly large (10,000) square feet 3. Building is on the corner of a busy intersection (about to get much busier)
Re: How to do Link Building? Re: How to do Link Building? - Link Building... Time-intensive. Frustrating. Sometimes confusing. Yet Unavoidable. Because ultimately, it's still the trump card for higher rankings. What happens to all those Wavers that think [i:1otfkny0]Getting Links = SEO[/i:1otfkny0] when that majority of the Google algo is devalued in various ways? Wavers built their fortunes on "links=seo". When that goes away, the Wavers have zero to hold on to. What will happen to the way search algorithms score links is already happening. The Google algo has become much more elegant and advanced, devaluing staggering amount of links that shouldn't count, and placing more emphasis on trusted links. And the trust and juice given by those links is then verified by elements like user data, domain age, and other relatively hard-to-spoof factors. toddbeld
