Harnessing The Power of Twitter Marketing in Your Business

Are you aware of the amount of targeted traffic available at Twitter?

Twitter's rise in popularity has made it a favorite destination for the online marketing crowd. It's official - Twitter is now one of the world's most favorite destination to network and communicate about anything under the sun. For search engines, Twitter means fresh news and content - 24/7. That's why the IM crowd is finding so much success at Twitter. Offline and online marketers are all in a frenzy over the quality of traffic available at Twitter. The visitors that come to you from Twitter are interested in what you're offering, which increases the chances of higher conversions. Building good relationships with other Twitterers is key to business success there. In a moment we'll discuss a few Twitter strategies for marketing and finding higher targeted traffic generation.

Your success with Twitter depends a great deal on the quality of the content you give. Strong relationships with your followers are built on sharing good and useful content. One great way to start is by offering links to great content every day or several times a week. Be sure you're courteous with your tweets - not too much and make it helpful. If you do this you can really build a good rapport and establish your self in a positive way. You have the option of posting your own or someone else's content via links. Your followers will remember if you are always helpful and polite. You may discover those who tweet content that is motivating or inspiring in some way.

The core concept of Twitter marketing success is interacting with the community. You need to interact with the community to attain your goals; you can't be all business. Twitter helps people connect, thus, if you keep sending sales message after sales message, your followers will eventually leave your list. Don't believe that you can't send offers at all; you can, you just need to be certain they make up a small percentage of your overall Twitter activity. Don't make this more than 10 percent. All your other tweets need to offer value through good, usable information. Consistency in tweeting is key when first starting out with Twitter. You will appear active as a result.

Successful Twitter marketing will require time and effort on your part. It's not an overnight process, so make sure you are patient in your approach and steadily build a long term relationship with your followers.

The Power of Ten The Power of Ten - Do you want to save money and time? Make the most of your marketing efforts? The Power of Ten™ is about taking the concepts of repurposing and leveraging “to the max”. It allows you to innovate and discover new possibilities for any marketing you already have in place. Here’s how it works: Make a list of the most recent 10 marketing items you’ve created or paid to have created. If you don’t have any materials, you can simply list the pieces you plan on creating. Now pick one. It could be an article, ad, poster, anything you have used recently as a marketing tool. Take a fresh look at it. Brainstorm and free write until you find at least 10 different ways to use that piece. You can do this with as many pieces as you want, but for now start with just one. It’s amazing how much time, effort and money you can save using The Power of Ten™. Below is an example using The Power of Ten™ with this very article. Even a very short piece, such as this, can benefit from The Power of Ten™. Here are some ways I can use this tip: 1) It’s part of a new marketing program I’m creating that may be called Marketing Full Circle. 2) It’s on my blog. 3) I can tweet it (knowing that it will show up on LinkedIn and many other sites which display tweets). 4) I can go over to LinkedIn and post it to a group. 5) I can it to my ezine subscribers. 6) I will send it to my clients. 7) If it is a longer article, I can try submitting it to an Article Bank, or two, or three. It started out as part of an answer on Focus.com 9) Eventually it will be part of an eBook on marketing tips. 10) I mention the concept often at speaking engagements. Re: Twitter vs Facebook Re: Twitter vs Facebook - I use Facebook pages for Business and rarely ever use Twitter. I hace lost count of the no. of Hotels that I have visited, regarding their marketing campaigns, that may have 5k Facebook Fans and only 100 followers on Twitter. It is a lot more difficult to engage with people on Twitter and thus harder to gain traction. If you are a business like Nike, then Twitter is great, but if you are an SME, then focus on Facebook or LinkedIn (if you are providing a professional service.) You can always have your Facebook feed directly in to Twitter, so you can have a presence on both, but do the work on one. Also check out ping.fm for managing campaigns - it is a free tool, and a great time saver.
Women Entrepreneur Tips Women Entrepreneur Tips - Thank you LeoOliveros, I found #4 particularly true in my case: 4. The Enterprise Must Include the Power of Power Networks. As a conductor of your own enterprise, you can not see yourself as a one-woman-show. You must choose to utilize the power people in your life, by asking for help when you need it, and effectively delegating in order to capitalize on your strengths and that of your power network. When certain experts are not represented in your power network, you must actively seek advisors or mentors and develop a team of specialists, so the benefits are received by everyone involved in the power network - the true Power of Power Networks.
