Are You A Victim Of Network Marketing Stinking Thinking?

James Allan wrote an essay back in 1902 entitled, "As A Man Thinketh". The basis for Allan's essay is directly out of the Bible: "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." What are your thoughts right now relative to your network marketing business? Do you view it as a sleek red Ferrari capable of taking you to far off places at a breakneck speed? Or do you view it as a broken down jalopy that can barely make it out of your driveway?

Are the thoughts that you allow to enter your mind positive and refreshing: I am a network marketing success and everyone wants to join my business. Or are they negative and musty rehashes: this business is so stupid, no one wants to sign up.

Because your mind seeks to maintain homeostasis, in both cases it will keep your thoughts flowing in whichever pattern you establish: positive or negative.

The other night I attended a training webinar. The guest speaker suggested writing down affirmations each day. I actually started this practice years ago. How I apply it to my network marketing business is that each night I write a couple of affirmations in my day planner for the next day. My first affirmation deals with my next promotion level which I write as though I have already accomplished it. For example if I was at a Sapphire level and my next promotion level was a Ruby, I would write "I am a Ruby" as my first affirmation. You are probably thinking that I am jumping the gun by writing something as though it was already achieved when in reality it has not been. My mind does not know that, remember, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

I find it very important to do this at night just before bedtime as this could be the last thought I feed my mind just before I fall asleep for six or seven hours. Similarly were I to fee d my mind thoughts of stinking thinking (I will never succeed at this network marketing thing, I should quit), by morning these thoughts will have festered into full bloom.

First thing in the morning I look at my day planner for my schedule. My affirmations are in plain view ("I am a Ruby"). During the day, I will constantly use my planner and see, "I am a Ruby". And that night I write: "I am a Ruby" on top of tomorrow's page.

With such positive affirmations, there is no room or time for stinking thinking.

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
Network Marketing Business - Hello all, Recently, I had join a Network Marketing Business on a part-time basis. Does anyone here who has some knowledge on this type of business? I want to learn as fast as I can from all the gurus here
10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.
Re: answer this question - This is a good topic. I haven't done anything, yet, to seriously damage my business. I did shift gear though. It was the best decision I ever made. For me, affiliate marketing was not working. Making the switch to Network Marketing made all the difference.
