It’s Impossible To Chase Two Network Marketing Rabbits At The Same Time.

Guest post by: Andy Acciaioli

Article Overview: You cannot chase two (or more) network marketing businesses at the same time. One or both will compete for your attention and you will find yourself unable to give either one the time and/or energy it deserves.

It’s Impossible To Chase Two Network Marketing Rabbits At The Same Time.

How many network marketers do you know that are working two network marketing businesses simultaneously? Better yet, how many people on your team are working two business opportunity at the same time: yours and something else?

Oh, no. None of my team members would ever do that.

It’s great to feel that way but the reality is that most network marketers are fickle and will fall victim to thinking I can easily do both. This is especially attractive when the new venture is positioned as making a boatload of money and spending little time doing it…matter of fact you can easily do this along with what you are presently doing. Your team member becomes convinced that his new business will provide the funds to keep him alive and remaining in your business too.

Unfortunately this does not happen in the real world. If your team member has a little success with the new venture, he/she will drop out of your business reasoning that they could be making more money with the new if they devoted all their efforts to it. Or if no money is made with the new venture (which is more often the case) then your team member will give up on both, exhausted at trying to chase two dreams at once with little positive results from either. (Kind of like chasing two network marketing rabbits at the same time…you will catch neither.)

As soon as you find out about what your team member has done or is about to do – by taking on a new “side” venture – it’s time for a chat. Explain the futility of trying to serve two masters: trying to serve two network marketing companies and how it does not work. If they elect to continue doing both, my friend, it’s decision time for you. Do you continue working directly with this person knowing that this person is giving your team partial effort?

But you don’t understand, Andy. He/she told me that since both ventures do not compete with one another, it will be fine. No. Each venture will compete for your team member’s time and attention. And, let’s face facts, if your network marketing business was EASY, they would not have been open to listening to or joining their other “latest, greatest, easiest, fastest money maker on planet earth period” venture in the first place. Your team member hit a bump in the road with your business and is seeking a less bumpy business venture “on the side”.

Let me give you an example. It involved one of my personally sponsored team members, who by the way would constantly call me with questions ALL answered on our company’s website. Quite by accident I discovered that he had a website not only promoting our company but two other “non competing” network marketing companies with it. Our talk included me telling him that this was unfair to our entire team and he had a choice on his hands: drop the other two companies or he was free to contact our upline for assistance but I would no longer work with him. He opted to not drop the other companies and within six weeks had completely dropped out of ours. (P.S. Shortly thereafter he dropped out of the remaining two mlm ventures only to replace them with other get rich quickers. One of these was a pay $10 deal and make hundreds of thousands of dollars in a few months.)

You, and your team members, selected your rabbit, your network marketing company for a reason. Mostly because you felt as though it would lead to financial success, freedom from any job and the time to enjoy life with your family. Do not lose sight of this dream and exhaust yourself chasing more than one business opportunity. If you gave it your best shot and it still does not work for you, by all means find another rabbit to chase…but not at the same time.

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? Is it not legit?
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.

10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.
Re: answer this question Re: answer this question - This is a good topic. I haven't done anything, yet, to seriously damage my business. I did shift gear though. It was the best decision I ever made. For me, affiliate marketing was not working. Making the switch to Network Marketing made all the difference.
