MLM / Network Marketing Prospecting: These 3 Words Could Determine Your Success

If you were to analyze the entire process of network marketing, which area would you say is the most difficult? Not your product or service delivery as the company you are affiliated with has probably perfected distribution. Not educating or training as your company has written extensive training manuals and taped a number of training videos. The most difficult area has to be prospecting. Finding new, talented people for your business. There is the traditional way where you are encouraged to talk to everybody about your opportunity. After all everyone will want to join your business if they only knew what it was all about. Right? Wrong answer. And besides you don’t want everyone in your business, haven’t you learned “The 3 Words”? The 3 Words? What a ridiculous thing to say. Of course I want everyone in my business. What is YOUR problem making such a statement? Listen to your prospect. What type of questions is he/she asking you about the business? Are the questions centered around the company, the management, the compensation plan, etc.? These I would categorize as legitimate questions that I would expect a prospect to ask who was doing a thorough due diligence on any network marketing business. Recently I met with someone I have known both personally and as a marketing client for a number of years. In spite of his aversion to network marketing, I wanted him to join me in my business. Whatever questions were asked of me I would respond as genuinely as I could. I knew, however, that this was not going to be a perfect fit when a list of questions arrived in my inbox that were trivial at best. One of these questions (more like a statement) dealt with how my company used forced labor to pick berries from trees and paid the native workers next to nothing to do so. I asked him where he got his information because just the opposite is true: my company not only has raised the living standards of the workers by paying them a decent wage but it also has assisted in the development of medical clinics and schools for them (and their families). Instead of continuing to pursue this prospect – and continue playing trivial pursuit with all his frivolous, rumor-based questions - I put into practice “The 3 Words”: Just Say No. It is difficult to let go of a prospect, especially when you know in your heart of hearts that he/she would have been so right for the opportunity. But you have to. Remember it is a business that we are constructing. Personal friendships that we have with “former” prospects will continue and grow. Just as we should be grateful to “Just Say No” because our time will be freed up to spend on other serious prospects, we should realize that we have also relieved on-the-fence prospects by their not having to be the one to say no to us for whatever reason or fear they may have. Remember the old expression: we want everyone in our business but we don’t need anyONE. Some years ago, I remember attending an Amway convention and hearing Dexter Yeager speak. He made this statement: “The person who will build the largest group in Amway isn’t even in Amway yet.” Just Say No to some of the wavering prospects you are chasing right now and go find that person who isn’t in the business yet but will build the largest group in your network marketing company.

Prime Means of Selling Prime Means of Selling - Prospecting and Selling aren't the same. Prospecting is finding the few within a target group who are prime candidates for your service. I don't think everyone will agree on what "prime" means but I'd say if the prospects actively want what you're offering and have the ability to pay for what you're offering then they qualify as "prime".
Ad words Ad words - And I forgot... you could give Google Ad Words a try. I've used that in the past and was never able to get my click rate below 20 cents, but perhaps you'll have better luck. With Google Ad Words, your ad (which you must make sure you write properly) will send people to your website, so it's a must have.
Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? Is it not legit?
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
