Network Marketers Can Avoid A Tsunami Of Tire Kickers With These 3 Simple Steps.
Your email inbox is flooded with offers on how to generate hundreds of leads per day. Do this, buy this and get tons and tons of traffic to your website.
What good is tons and tons of traffic to a network marketer if it is not the type of website traffic we are looking for: business opportunity BUYERS. I will guarantee that if you were to go out and ask the first ten strangers you come into contact with if they are looking for a business opportunity, most of them will say "Sure".
Can you consider them prospects? Hardly. They certainly did not have to jump through any pre-qualifying hoop(s). And, let's face it, everybody is seeking a business opportunity or wants more money. We call them tire kickers. Very few are serious players. Those that are serious, we call the business opportunity BUYERS.
I would rather have a trickle of business opportunity BUYERS filling out a form on my website to get more information than a tsunami of business opportunity SEEKERS/TIRE KICKERS. The BUYERS mean business and do not want to waste their time or yours. The SEEKERS have little regard for your time and feel justified in squandering it.
The big question is how can you separate the two. I suggest you practice these three simple steps:
1. Dump the self-replicating, company supplied website and develop your own. Not only will this build your brand (the YOU, INC. factor) but you can strive to cut the hype that we see in so many of the supplied websites. BUYERS will seek more info about your business. Without the hype, SEEKERS will surf to another site. Sayonara.
2. Spend time in writing the sales copy for your website. Reinforce the fact that there are rewards for those who want to work. Work? Yikes, I'm out of here. You will lose a good chunk of TIRE KICKERS with that copy slant. Bye-bye.
3. Add a required phone number field to the response form of your capture page. If they are not willing to give you their phone number - or even make one up, you are not dealing with a BUYER so who cares if they head for the hills?
By taking these 3 simple actions you will be light-years ahead of your fellow network marketers who look at each and every lead as though it is the Holy Grail. Let the flood of opportunity SEEKERS waste their time while you spend yours with the trickle of opportunity BUYERS.
