Network Marketing Secret of Success: A System
When you got up this morning, did you have to think of what to do first? Second? Third? Or did you follow your usual routine without thinking about it?
Think about it. What would it be like if every day you sat on the side of your bed and had to figure out what to do first, second or third?
After a number of days you would feel that this is a colossal waste of time and you will develop a system to make this process more of a routine. So too with your network marketing business. You should have a system in place so you don't have to reinvent the process each time you are pitching a new prospect or training a new rep for your business.
I am not saying that we should become like repetitive robots. However it is so much easier - and far more effective - if you had a system to follow. A system so simple that any member of your group can not only practice it themselves but train their members to follow the system and train others to do the same.
Simplicity is the keyword for your system. I was once told that before I passed along any information to the reps in my group that I should run it by one of my children to see if it was understood. If it was, pass the info along. If it was not, work on it until it would be understood by a child and then pass it along to my group.
When I was a national training director with one network marketing company, I would gear my training to the level that the participants at the training were at. For example, my goal in training new reps was to have them walk out of training with a few systems in place. A system for recruiting others into their business. A system for presenting our products for retail sales. And, a system to get them to their next promotion level.
I have sat in on some classes that some of my trainers have conducted and when it was over my eyes would be glazed over in confusion. Just imagine how the trainees must have felt.
Remember that adage about how do you eat an entire elephant? One forkful at a time. How should you train, educate and mentor the members of your group? Have a system in place so they can be fed one forkful at a time.
