Please Don’t Drag Me Into Your Network Marketing Opportunity
|
| Guest post by: Andy Acciaioli |
Article Overview: The days of hounding someone into joining your network marketing business are over. Those tactics do not work in the current internet environment as prospects are turned off to your offer by your attempt to bully them. Instead you must focus on building a relationship first.

Please Don’t Drag Me Into Your Network Marketing Opportunity
One sign that you are using too much pressure on trying to get a
prospect into your business is when he/she is leaving fingernail lines on their
wall in an attempt to avoid being dragged into your business opportunity. You cannot let go. This one could be the BIG ONE. The one that will be responsible for your being
able to afford to buy the entire State of Rhode Island. (Don’t worry , I ‘m packing.)
This dragging process into your mlm / network marketing business can
take other forms. Here are but a few:
·
Matter of fact, I just hung up from a pre-recorded
telephone voice broadcast. The first
question (of course) was whether or not I could use an extra $1,000 or $2,000
per week. At the end of the message I
was told that I had to call this 1-800 number right away or someone else would
be called with this opportunity. Let’s be
honest, thousands of some “elses” would be called by Mr. Robo-Caller.
·
Another form to catch a whole lot of prospects
to join your network marketing company is the email process. I mean, are we not all waiting for another
networker to send us an invitation to join their Best-Better-Best Opportunity? (Isn’t this a prime reason that we hide our
private email address and use some WhackyAddress
@ gmail.com?) And, don’t you love it
when they add a line about how they will make it big in their particular
business opportunity with us or without us?
I would always wonder why they are wasting their time contacting me if
they will make it big without me.
·
One of my absolute favorites is the “check this
out for me” maneuver. You receive an
email from a dear friend (that has become your best Facebook friend no more
than 20 seconds ago) stating that he recently got involved with a network
marketing venture and would greatly appreciate your taking a look at it and
giving your honest opinions before he got too far involved with it. I like these best of all because my response
is a standard one: “You joined it, therefore you are already too far
involved. Best wishes for your success. Andy”
After that response, don’t rush back to your inbox looking for his
response as he has gone on to greener prospects, er, I mean greener pastures.
In our current environment, especially utilizing online
marketing more and more to build our businesses, think about building a
relationship first and building your business second. The age of clubbing a prospect over the head
and dragging him/her into your business opportunity is over.
