This article encourages those who are marketing their network marketing programs online to use less lofty but more meaningful titles.

Step Aside, Internet Network Marketing Expert Coming Through.

I have to plead ignorance. With my 30+ years of a business background, considered by some to be somewhat of a marketing specialist, I never realized that our network marketing industry has managed to capture so many internet marketing experts. Wow. What a tremendous feat accomplished in such a short time. Imagine how impressed any prospect would be to see Internet Marketing Genius after your name. And, as part of your pitch to him/her you might casually drop the line that he/she could also be considered an Internet Marketing Genius just by signing up as part of your downline. Why someone never told me that when I started my marketing journey over three decades ago is beyond me.

I had the pleasure of chatting with one of these mlm Internet Marketing Gurus recently. His email to me reeked of "I'm a network marketing newbie". Turns out this Network Marketing Mastermind was going to show me how to make a monthly six figure income. Like in $100,000 or more, I asked. He said that it sure was doable. I pressed on, so your monthly earnings are in the six figure plus range. His response, I'm on my way. (He was well trained.) Okay, I had to ask this one, how long have you been a rep with the company? Three weeks was the answer. Interesting...my network marketing Internet Marketing Guru must have been a rapid learner to achieve such a vaulted position as an expert in only three weeks.

Funny thing is, I bet he will sponsor some people into his group not based upon his knowledge or truthfulness but his moxie. And his appeal to a person's sense of greed and laziness: I want to make six figures a month just as fast as he did.

Can you relate to this?

If you currently use the term Internet Marketing Expert, I really don't mean to offend you. You very well may be. However, with so many brand spankin' new entrants crowning themselves into Expert-hood, the word has lost its luster not just with me but with the many people seeking a legitimate business opportunity: your potential prospects.

Using words like internet marketing coach or consultant projects how you can assist a prospect in a term that is more at the level they feel that they can achieve. Trying to fill those Internet Marketing Big Kahuna shoes is way beyond most of our shoe sizes.

Though I am crazy about information, yet I would rather take the money and turn it into a million before I spend a dime out of it. I will do it in 4 steps. Step 1 turn $100,000 to $200,000 Step 2 turn $200,000 to $400,000 Step 3 turn $400,000 to $800,000 Step 4 turn $800,000 to $1600,000. Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? Is it not legit?
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.
