It never ceases to amaze me. First, in reprinting the above email exactly as I received it is not meant to find fault with the person who sent it insofar as their grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. But for Pete's sake, I do not have a clue who you are or for that matter why I am so blessed to having been selected to participate in this breathtaking opportunity. Is it because you feel sorry for we follicularly challenged guys and want to gives us a shot at all those bonuses?

Second, I am completely clueless as to what you are promoting. Is it network marketing? An mlm? Some kind of gambling deal because "we know, that Asian love gambling".

Third, so much for relationship building before sharing some sort of opportunity with me. Although I have to admit that this person has graciously given me until tomorrow to jump on this once in a lifetime opportunity...whatever that opportunity might be.

Fourth, I can start for free which definitely shows an element of sincere kindness. HOWEVER, if you do start for free don't think you're going to get all the bonuses (no free lunch here, pal...my words).

I have never heard this process explained so simply - yet effectively - than one of the most street smart, successful online network marketers I know, Cedrick Harris. Paraphrasing his words, asking someone to join your network marketing business opportunity in your first contact with that person is like you asked your wife to marry you on your first date. Our wives would have looked at us as though we had just gotten off the clown car from some asylum. Should we look at these emailers the same way?

Bottom line, networkers: romance your prospect, build a relationship before asking them to take a stroll with you down your Business Opportunity Lane.

Re: Twitter vs Facebook - I use Facebook pages for Business and rarely ever use Twitter. I hace lost count of the no. of Hotels that I have visited, regarding their marketing campaigns, that may have 5k Facebook Fans and only 100 followers on Twitter. It is a lot more difficult to engage with people on Twitter and thus harder to gain traction. If you are a business like Nike, then Twitter is great, but if you are an SME, then focus on Facebook or LinkedIn (if you are providing a professional service.) You can always have your Facebook feed directly in to Twitter, so you can have a presence on both, but do the work on one. Also check out ping.fm for managing campaigns - it is a free tool, and a great time saver.

The Best Business Books Ever: The 100 Most Influential Business Books You'll Never Have Time to Read - this is a fascinating book about the history of Business theory, and I'd recommend it to anybody. 2. The Big Book of Small Business: You Don't Have to Run Your Business by the Seat of Your Pants, by Tom Gegax. Ditto. 3. PADI: The Business of Diving Book Okay, so this book won't be of use to anyone who doesn't want to start a scuba store, but I did, and this book was of course invaluable to me in reaching that goal.
Franchising & Licensing Can Be The Same Thing - FTC Rule 436 defines franchising as anyone offering an Agreement that contains these 3 things: 1. Licensing a "Mark" - which can be a trade name, service mark, commercial symbol, slogan, etc. 2. In the body of the Agreement, there contains, significant controls and assistance. 3. The licensee is paying the licensor in excess of $500 within the first six months of the actual offering of the business. Licensing and Franchising can mean the same thing today. If you do not decide to franchise and comply with FTC Rule 436, you may be in violation of Business Opportunity Laws that exist in 24 individual States.
