How To Choose The Best Network Marketing Company: 3 Crucial Choices, Part 1
A new set of 21st
century parameters for the network marketing industry has emerged and it’s
extremely important to learn about the crucial choices and decisions you have to
make at the onset, as an educated entrepreneur, in order to succeed. Those
defining choices are not so easy to decipher for a person new to the
industry. It is also safe to say
these choices are not so easy to decipher for those already in the industry
either. Many people remain in the
“school of hard knocks” continuing to lose money as they jump from company to
company in hopes of the success so possible in this great industry.
Experience
can eventually teach us if we work intelligently and today I hope to help you
learn from my early experience of failure in network marketing with a company
of high integrity producing the top products in their niche! I believe implicitly in the integrity
and quality of this company, however I was never able to make more than $200
per month no matter how hard and long I worked! Bottom line: I did not turn a
profit on the thousands of hours and dollars invested but instead only racked
up an increasing amount of debt and despair!
The
reasons for failure were numerous but in this article let’s turn to the first 3
crucial questions you must ask in any opportunity and the answers you are
looking for. It is absolutely
imperative that you answer these to your full satisfaction before joining any
company, no matter how unique or in demand they claim their products to
be! This is a critical part of
your due diligence.
Question
#1: Does the network marketing company have a solid marketing system? This is
central to why 97% fail and you want to be in the 3 % that succeed! Most
companies expect you to begin marketing to your list of 100 family members,
friends and colleagues, place ads in newspapers and magazines, or buy leads
where you can waste hundreds of hours and dollars talking to mostly unqualified
leads. These systems, for
beginners and the experienced alike, are like throwing jello at the wall! Sponsors will say to you: “Don’t give
up. All you need to find is a
marketing method that suits you, 2-4 leaders and your business is built.” Wrong! That method may have worked well in the ‘90’s, however times
have changed.
Answer
#1: Look for a proven,
duplicatible marketing system that has been tightly constructed for you to plug
into – a turnkey system. The system should be ready to set into motion for
creating a solid and growing funnel of leads. Your training should begin with
the free methods of marketing and eventually progress to and include Google
Adwords marketing for attracting leads.
These leads should then move through a highly crafted funnel of
thoroughly tested and optimized Internet pages designed to fully explain and
invite prospects into the business.
In other words, this part of the “heavy lifting” in marketing should be
done for you.
Question
#2: Does the network marketing company allow online marketing? Many network marketing companies do not
allow online marketing until the associate reaches a specific level of income
generation. This means you need to
generate a down line with thousands of customers at an average commission rate
of $20-$200 per customer in order to reach the allowable level in most
companies. These are daunting
numbers, as is the need to generate 100-200 leads per week and try to talk to
them all. This is easily a 60-80
per week job without the Internet to present, sort and sift for you.
Answer #2: Look
for a company that has a strong Internet marketing belief and will train you to
compete and harness 21st century Internet marketing techniques! You want to work smarter. This is crucial. There are 1.4 billion people with
Internet access and this is exactly where you want to focus your marketing
efforts and dollars. Just think of
where you go first when searching for an item or beginning research: the World
Wide Web.
Question
#3: Does the network marketing company have a lucrative compensation plan
system? You cannot bank your
future on small 10-20% up front commissions for $20-$200 products and then look
to retire later on greater residual income. At this rate it takes the vast majority of people years and
thousands of customers and/or associates to bring the business up to a
sustainable level of residual income.
Here is where 97% of people fail in network marketing: they run out of
stamina and sustaining capital before accomplishing the goal of a full-time
residual income.
Answer
#3: What you are looking for is a compensation plan that pays at least 50% of
the retail price up front in commissions plus a residual income. What makes this possible is looking for
a company with products selling for at least $500-$1000 upward. This level will get your business off
to a far stronger start and build commissions plus residual income that you
will see within your first 6 months.
In summary, take a hard look at these three questions and if
you are a diligent and teachable entrepreneur, you absolutely have the
opportunity to generate a five or six figure income within the first year.
