How To Choose The Best Network Marketing Company: 3 More Crucial Choices, Part 2

To preface this continuation of a separately published article by the same title, Part 1, an educated entrepreneur needs to have a finger on the pulse of changes affecting businesses: market shifts, product saturation levels, advertising methods, new information technology such as Twitter and Facebook, to name just a few! Their impact can be phenomenal and it is imperative to have one’s eyes wide open.

If you are new to the great entrepreneurial industry of network marketing or a frustrated network marketer looking for a new company, take into consideration the changes swirling around you and the impact they could have on the companies you are investigating. It’s tempting to get caught up in the emotionality of a company’s presentation, so stay steady and enjoy your sleuthing for answers while paying due diligence. In the end it will save you a lot of money, time and heartaches.

Here is a recap of the initial 3 questions posed and discussed in Part1:

1. Does the network marketing company have a solid marketing system crafted for the new associate to plug into? This is called a “turnkey system. This does not mean beginning by soliciting a list of family, friends and colleagues!

2. Does the network marketing company allow online marketing from the onset?

3. Does the network marketing company have a lucrative compensation plan where you can realistically replace your income within 6 months to 1 year?

Check Part 1 for the answers!

Now, here are 3 more questions to ask any network marketing opportunity you are considering:

Question #1: Does the network marketing company have a unique product that is in high demand and not just “the best” of the many brands flooding that particular niche?

Answer #1: Look for a company marketing something totally unique, unique, and unique! It can be an amazing uphill climb trying to market nearly the same product line as 20 other network marketing companies, and particularly when retail stores also carry yet another 25 competing brands. Then you spend your time as a marketing entrepreneur defending the company’s products as “the best” in a flooded market. This is exhausting and way too time consuming. Also be extremely careful of passing fads that will leave you high and dry once the feeding frenzy passes.

Question #2: Does the network marketing company have an in depth training system? Is a new associate taken through a highly developed group of training modules plus have a back office archive of online marketing training videos and recorded training tapes? Is there a steady stream of “live” webinars schedules for all levels of associates to continually advance business skills and personal development?

Answer #2: You are looking for a company rich in initial and ongoing training opportunities. You want to see a maximum amount of training shoveled at you as a beginner, and also as an intermediate and advanced associate too. Continual exposure to new ideas and the sharpening of skills is paramount. The learning curve is steep at the beginning but continual training opportunities are key to your financial success and to the core growth and vitality of any company.

Question #3: Does the network marketing company have a strong policy of team leadership and mentorship? This is critical when starting a new business because you will encounter many obstacles and hurdles during the intense learning curve.

Answer #3: A successful entrepreneur is looking for a personal, hands-on mentor and team leader committed to the success of the individuals on the team. This is the person who brings you into the business and who is personally your business partner and into whose care you are entrusted. This mentor/team leader also gives trainings in the form of either one to one help and/or weekly webinars. Entering into a very active and supportive team committed to guiding you toward your success is what network marketing is all about.

Remember, your success is their success and a great company is the door into an amazing and successful business community. Look for the company to be selective as well!

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? Is it not legit?
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
Network Marketing Business Network Marketing Business - Hello all, Recently, I had join a Network Marketing Business on a part-time basis. Does anyone here who has some knowledge on this type of business? I want to learn as fast as I can from all the gurus here
10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.
Re: answer this question Re: answer this question - This is a good topic. I haven't done anything, yet, to seriously damage my business. I did shift gear though. It was the best decision I ever made. For me, affiliate marketing was not working. Making the switch to Network Marketing made all the difference.
