The concept of the law of attraction is a powerful mindset strategy that we as network marketers can very effectively put to work in achieving our dreams and goal of financial success in the Internet marketing industry.

Esther and Jerry Hicks’ book entitled “MONEY & THE LAW OF ATTRACTION: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health & Happiness” is a great resource for examining exactly why and how this law can be put to work with the right mindset.

By now we have all heard the term “the law of attraction” tossed around from pillar to post…but what is it exactly, and how can this law manifest positively for us in the business world? How can you set this into motion and working for you? The opening paragraph of their book gives the most concise definition I’ve found to date. Here is a shortened, core version:

Your Story & The Law of Attraction

“Each and every component that makes up your life experience is drawn to you by the powerful Law of Attraction’s response to the thoughts you think and the story you tell about your life… If you will let your dominant intention be to revise and improve the content of the story you tell every day of your life, it is our absolute promise to you that your life will become that ever-improved story.” (Page 3)

The strong message here is: tell the new story you want to experience in your future!

This new story may not have fully manifested yet, but “play it forward” and set into motion the powerful cycle of pulling to yourself exactly what you hold as your goal. The past is behind you. Focusing on your present story only continues to withhold your desired success in the future. Now it is time to make the new decisions for your future.

Achieving success is our natural birthright and there is no force withholding your success other than repeating what has not worked in the past. Life is a process in which we learn through the contrasts of our experiences and, as a consequence, making big decisions about what we want and do not want in our lives. Here is where our emotional guidance system kicks in to help with those decisions based on what does and does not feel good or work for us.

Every subject and experience really has 2 sides, and it is through the stark contrast of opposites that we make decisions to move forward or stay within the comfort (or discomfort) zone of what we know. For instance, there is: wealth or poverty, health or sickness, happiness or sadness, clarity or confusion….and the list of contrasts goes on and on!

Now, if you are moving forward through the experiences of these contrasts, this has probably brought you here in consideration of the change you want in your life. Are you seeking: financial success and prosperity, the freedom to spend more time with your family, the funds to travel, a relief from the financial stress of being underpaid, release from a 40, 60 or 80 hour work week in the corporate world, or the opportunity to repair your retirement that took such a hit in our economic downturn? And, the list goes on!

Have you committed that list of wants and desires to paper? Go ahead, do it right now and pin it up somewhere you will see it each and every day! Those are the goals you absolutely have the right to achieve.

Now, what probably brought you are here is that you are looking for either a new Internet marketing business, or you could be experiencing the desire to enter into the network marketing industry because you have heard it is very profitable and easier for the normal person to enter into with modest funds. You are absolutely right.

If you had a quarter or half million dollars to invest in buying a franchise, you might go that way. Or if you had the capital to invest in building a brick and mortar business from the ground up, you might make your investment there.

Network marketing, however, affords normal people like you the chance to start a business of your own with a smaller financial investment. It then gives the phenomenal opportunity to make a five and six figure income in a very short amount of time through consistent and diligent efforts.

I have been a professional musician and teacher for 30 years and know all too well the marginal livings one can only make in my very small field. Sadly, it is the plight of the vast majority of artists in our country. So going into network marketing was a very natural fit for me since I have been marketing music as a performer, teacher, and concert and recording promoter. In fact, we all market very naturally every day when “selling our favorite restaurants, music and movies to friends!

So, as your research continues to focus on finding the best network marketing opportunity, make this request an integral part of your new story and the Law of Attraction will aid in drawing to you exactly what you hold as your goal.

Everyone seems to be talking about the Law of Attraction, but I took a look at her site and its interesting that her stand is that the Law of Attraction isn't enough to really succeed. Chris
10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.

Re: An Assessment Tool for Making Dreams Come True - Sounds a bit like getting what you want through the Laws of Attraction aka LOA. I've seen people use mind visuals to expedite goals such as: (Affiliate links removed by forum administrator) You can also cut and paste magazine pics. When I remember to use them, they are VERY effective. It may take a few weeks, monhts or even years but it comes together beautifully and perfectly. The more often you do it, the faster it happens. Be sure you know what you want! A study with measurable results would be nice. I just don't have the schedule for it though. Good Luck!
RE: Life isn't fair / 'Ol Boy Network - I certainly won't argue that 'Ol Boy Network practices exist and probably always will to some degree because, yes, people like to work with those like themselves. I am curious, though about reactions to the content and approach of the article itself, particularly given that it is from an HR / Management consultant: 1) What does the phrase "'Ol Boy Network" mean to you? 2) Do readers view his discussion as an impartial observation of the phenomenon or do his comments such as "...is not a bad thing," "it's natural," and "are normal occurences" sound like he's expressing an opinion that the practices are OK to continue because that's how it's always been? 3) Would the nature and direction of the content affect your tendency to hire this individual as a consultant? I tried to explore this with the author himself but he was extremely defensive and somewhat insulting regarding the possibility that his article might be perceived as endorsing the practice. I'm looking for a barometer check.
