A New Business Requires Vision and Action

A thousand mile journey begins with one step. Many people shuffle left and right and more backwards then forward as their heart gauges the direction of the wind. Criticism, condemnation and complaint are creatures of the wind. The power to control your direction belongs to you. You must have a decided heart before any journey begins. If you want to drive to California from New York you don't just get in your car and drive you have a road map. You need to know your destination before you begin. You must be passionate about your vision for the future.

You have to wake up with excitement about each new day and the opportunity for growth and change. You have to focus on constantly moving in a forward direction and steer clear of doubt and self pity. Share your vision of the future with others and let them see the belief in your eyes and they will follow you.

You should be able to go to bed at night exhausted being happy knowing you tried to move mountains in your path. The same dream that drives you in the day should possess you in your sleep. You need never apologize for that dream or let it go. That dream and desire is your life blood and to relinquish it is to perish.

The purpose of analysis is to come to a conclusion. You need to test the angles and measure the probabilities and then make a decision with your heart. You cannot be timid you now move forward and not look back. Procrastination has no place in your heart or your business it is an attribute of the slothful. All problems become smaller when you confront them.

Do not wait to start. Be passionate about your vision for the future. Your course has been charted and your destiny is assured with a decided heart. Take that first step of a thousand miles just remember to keep walking forward and your rewards will be immense.

Different types of funding Different types of funding - Business Relationship Funding This is another source of funds that can be overlooked. It may be possible to introduce potential alliances to add value to both parties. It may produce an ultimate exit route in the medium to long term. Joint Ventures: Requires a legal agreement embodying the deal and another company Partnerships: Two companies collaborate with possible funding. Joint working relationships: These are an informal partnership which may be more project specific where the parties can share resources. Agencies: These can be geographical or product specific and generally incorporates a payment for the right to the agency. Distributors: Very like an agency but may not necessarily involve up front payment. Alliances: These do not require a separate company and can be embodied by a legal agreement to work together. Trade investors: Otherwise known as Corporate Partnering. This can be a good way to involve a much larger company in the business with a view to possible trade sale further down the line. Associates: This can be a loose arrangement with no fundamental commitments either way, rather like a preferred supplier. Equity Swop: Two companies exchange shares to a similar value to develop both businesses. Franchises: This can allow the business to grow without further direct investment. Licensing: This involves licensing a product or service to enable others to sell it. This requires you to own the intellectual property.
