Starting Your Internet Business in a Slow Down

According to market research, after every recession, at the start of boom time - the online space does very well. With this formula, the business you own must be able to capitalize on the strong points of a good and bad economy. The economic downturn can be made to your advantage by starting an online business with minimum capital and overhead costs. When the tide of the rising economy hits, you would be a key player in the market, having established yourself quite well initially.

There many key points in favor of starting an internet based business in a bad economy:

Having discussed the strong points of starting the business, it is also equally important to choose and understand the "type" of business that would survive in any economy.

There are a few business ideas like consulting, network marketing, and direct sales that do well all the time. It is the basic human nature to look for other sources of income during tough times and these businesses satisfy that need. They offer fantastic financial opportunity for people to make money that requires minimum capital and offers income, rewards and flexible work hours.

Why online business is becoming a hot and sought after income option?

All the above features will help you understand, create and set up an online business. Now it is time to spread the word that you have arrived!!

For any business to grow, it is very important to build a network of clients or customers. There are many ways to advertise your business including social networking sites, email, blogs, articles, and advertisements. Use these to create a global presence.

Now that you have launched your internet business, it pays to have a look at businesses that thrive in the turbulent economic times. Creating a niche business market that is money generating and supplements primary/secondary income, is what one should aim for.

A network marketing business is one such business that offers a viable work scenario, where, for minimal input, there is maximum output. Direct sales also works on a similar concept, in fact if combined they can produce great results.

At the end of the day, pick the business that can survive and grow at a good rate. It means that good economy or not, your business will always see progressive results.

According to Amazon Kindle, the two most highlighted passages from the book are: [quote:1tn0ii6a]Slow philosophy can be summed up in a single word: balance. Re: Hi there Re: Hi there - Hi Galuh, Welcome to the forum, you will get plenty of help here and from what you have said, you may have found a niche market there. Starting an Internet business is no different from any other business in as much as if you enjoy it and have knowledge of the subject then so much the better. From what you have said there may well be a market for your idea and it is something that you could start small and test the waters first. If it goes well then you can take it further. best wishes, Mal.
Business Innovation Business Innovation - Hi Simon If you can finish off the Business Plan and think about your strategic direction or how you are going to use your product to convince people it's a great idea, it will set the foundation for your programming project. You see, when you are looking for funding you will need a Business Plan and Strategic Plan that will convince companies to invest into your new idea. Has anyone achieved this idea before using another industry besides health and fitness that you know of? You should also design some mockups as a "preview" for your programming project. This will also help reduce your programming costs as everyone will know exactly what you want if you have detailed mockups already completed including any functionality you require. Starting mockups for websites and software applications on paper is the best way if you're not a guru in graphic editing software.

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,
