Tips To Eliminate Stress Relating To Your New Business

A small business owner or freelancer is the single most important entity for the business he or she is running. There are many responsibilities that they have to address from time to time. Even with flexible work hours and smaller setup, the commitment to give good results keeps them under constant pressure.

However, the good news is that by developing good management skills one can alleviate stress and stay focused on the business. Anxiety levels can be controlled by delegating tasks and managing time.

Here are a few tips that you can use to manage stress:

You must try to determine stress causing factors in your business and see if they are short term or long term. Short term stress can be addressed right away by implementing a few strategies and adjustments, but it is the long term stress that is the real concern. Question yourself as to why the long term stress has cropped up. Do you like what you are doing in your business? Talk to family and friends to ease your concerns and discuss how to make the best of the given situation.

Stress should not be treated as a business success barometer. Although having stress at times, helps achieving goals within stipulated time limits, it will affect your life and future performance. Having regular checks and meetings to make sure deadlines are met, delegation of tasks, and team work help in business growth in a stress free environment.

Take network marketing businesses for example, where you can achieve your goals and sell products by having efficient team members, setting realistic time frames and feel stress free. The flow of this business model is designed to have happy business owners. The same attitude can be applied across any small business ideology.

Stress is an indicator of how you react to events. The response you choose is the deciding factor to either survive the problem or go in to a full-blown panic attack.

Be cool and stress free!

Re: Great ideas! Re: Great ideas! - [quote="Evan":35a8r9r1] One competition I enjoyed watching was for search engine optimization - who could get ranked #1 in Google for a certain key phrase. At the end of x months whoever was on top, won. People competed from around the world to try and rank at the top. Any ideas on how we could use that theme and track results? Keep the great ideas flowing![/quote:35a8r9r1] Hey Evan, So if we were to do a SEO competion, every entrant would need access to a website that they could work with, correct? How would that work? I don't think this competition would be too hard to monitor, in terms of results. I really like the idea, as I would love to learn more about the topic. Relating back to the business / marketing plan idea, I would really like to see this one happen because it's somethign that every entrepreneur will have to do at some point.
Re: Infographic: The 4 Main Stress Factors Re: Infographic: The 4 Main Stress Factors - I'd like to reference that article in my next blog post as well.. I worked in sales for years and found that days when I was positive, relaxed where days that it was easy to sell. On days that I was stressed I found I would not reach target. Stress is good at times, but it very easily becomes problematic. I do a lot of very physical exercise and work now, to manage it.
