DeviantArt and Your Business

Keeping your mind open to possibilities is a key component in success. In this article, I wanted to discuss a website you may not be familiar with called DeviantArt. This site features thousands and thousands of works of art from artists around the world. One of the great things about DeviantArt is that it allows these artists to have the opportunity to have their work seen by countless others.

Before I get into my discussion of DeviantArt, let me tell you a little bit about my background and why I value opportunities so much. I am frequently asked how I was able to go from seeing my real estate business go under during the real estate market collapse to rebuilding it all in just a few years. No doubt, part of the answer is Internet marketing, which has enabled me to go from losing everything in 2007 to where I am now.

Today I am financially secure and making more money than ever. There are lots of variable to explain how I was able to do this, but my background was a key component. Having spent years as a yoga instructor and practicing meditation, I was able to stay calm and focused. I believe that this was one of the keys to success. If you are calm and focused, you will seek out opportunities and see what paths are available.

Finding opportunities is important. Take, for example, needing artwork for your website. It would be easy to assume that you should pay a great deal of money, but the simple fact is that you can have artwork created for less than you think. A freelancer is set up to work independently and will charge you less as a result.

You might be tempted to find your artist through the wildly popular art site DeviantArt. DeviantArt is a very impressive site and it is also remarkably large. Also there is no real quality control, as anyone can post his or her artwork no matter how horrible that artwork may be. For every great artist, there are several artists that shouldn't give up their day jobs!

Finding an artist on DeviantArt might take a much longer than you are expecting. In terms of time management alone you might find that you are much better off searching for your freelance artist through another service or site.

I constantly remind my clients that their time precious, more precious than they realize. How they spend that time is critical to their success as an Internet entrepreneur or Internet marketer. Keep this in mind not just when you are looking for a freelancer to help with your art, but when you are engaged in any activity regarding your business.

Re: How can I promote my site? Re: How can I promote my site? - aside from the aforementioned 1) social networking and social bookmarking 2) search engine optimization and pay per click 3) forums I would recommend 4) use blogging and blog communities (wordpress, blogspot, xanga), not only this drives content, this improves SEO as well. actively commenting on other blogs will drive exposure to your own blog and website. 5) partnerships / cooperatives. why not find some other businesses with websites that might complement your own? while YouTube might be unrealistic at this point, why not look for sites who promote visual arts and visual artists?? (similar to DeviantArt) Be creative! Best of luck!

I don’t know about b2b marketing but I have done marketing so know things about it. I will suggest you to take online services which will spread your business all over web network. Online marketing is the best way to market any business.[/quote:428owzbi] B2B = Business to Business - You are marketing to other businesses. B2C = Business to Consumer - You are marketing to consumers.
