Flickr Has a Secret That You May Not Know About
Flickr is a site that has a tremendous amount of web traffic. Just about any photography buff knows of Flickr and may have even used the site. Flickr gives photographers the ability to post their photos free of charge and potentially have their work seen by the world.
Additionally Flickr makes for a great way for you to upload your photos and share them with anyone. On face value, it sounds like a site with infinite possibilities for those people who love web 2.0. After all, the site also has a social networking component element, so that you can interact with other photographers and photography fans. But there is just one problem. For Internet marketers who may be using Flickr to make money, this problem is significant.
Flickr is strictly for personal use. If you are thinking about using Flicker for anything other than personal use, you can simply forget it. Sadly, Flickr has a long list of violations that can get you promptly booted off the site.
You might be wondering why this is the case, as it seems as though Flickr could easily have been a very useful site for businesses and entrepreneurs. It should be noted that another one of Flickr's little secrets is that Yahoo owns Flickr! So while Flickr might seem like it is independently owned; it isn't.
Flickr is a fine example of fact that many sites that look like they would be great for promoting businesses may not be as awesome as they initially seem. However, remember that there is still a social networking aspect to the site. Clever Internet marketers may still be able to take advantage of the site depending upon what products they are interested in marketing and how they go about it.
It is important not to let the little things such as Flickr's policies stress you out. Sweating the small stuff will only keep you from obtaining your goals.
I am a firm believer in the Law of Attraction and have seen it work in my live. In 2007, I went from being a successful mortgage broker to losing everything (thanks to the crash of 2007). I knew I needed money fast, and it would have been very easy to panic. Being able to stay calm helped me achieve my goals. I was able to do this in part due to the fact that I had spent years working as a Yoga instructor. This factor gave me the mental discipline to stay calm and investigate the possibilities.
I firmly believe that the world is full of tremendous opportunities. Today, just a few short years after I lost my job in 2007, I am making more money than ever as an Internet marketer. You can do it too. Everything starts with changing your perceptions.
So my point is that while Flickr's policies may be restrictive, it's still a great site to explore and enjoy. You never know whom you might end up interacting with as the result of participating with web 2.0 sites. As a result, dive in, have fun and be open to new possibilities.
