It’s All About Time Management

Poor time management can really be just about anyone's undoing. Proper use of time is critical if you wish to accomplish your goals and get ahead. Many people lose precious time everyday, and often they do not even realize it.

One of your goals as an Internet marketer or entrepreneur is to make sure that you are carefully looking at how you spend your time, especially your free time.

Make a List and Check it Twice

One way to determine how productively you are spending your time is to keep a log of how you spend each hour. Of course, you do not need to do this for the rest of your life.

Instead, just commit to keeping a log of how you spend your day for a week or two. Once you have achieved this goal, you can commit to making lists for a longer period of time.

In time, keeping this log will help you begin to use your time in a more organic fashion. You should begin to naturally spend your time in a manner that is in line with your goals.

Think About Your Goals

Every day you should be focusing and concentrating on your goals. Keeping your goals fixed in your mind is another insurance policy against wasting your time. People with goals who constantly remind themselves of these goals are much more likely to be successful. This only makes sense.

Develop a daily routine where you focus on your goals. You should also make a "goal list" that you review so that you make sure you stay on track.

The Importance of Focus and Clarity of Thought

I have been a yoga instructor for years, and I can assure you that being able to focus is key toward achieving your goals in life. Yoga and meditation helped me tremendously in maintaining my sense of balance.

Having focus was one of the key aspects in achieving financial freedom in my own life. People are constantly asking me, "What is your secret?" I wish I could impress upon you how important I feel that focus is to the equation of success.

A clear vision of what you wish to achieve when combined with proper dedication is a powerful combination. It was this combination that allowed me to go from a being jobless in 2007 to achieving financial independence today.

During the housing market collapse, I lost my job as a mortgage broker and had no idea what to do next. But through focus and keeping my mind fixed on my goals, I was able to create new wealth. I did it through Internet marketing.

So start remembering to make lists. There is something about putting things down on paper has a certain magic. Your daily logs will allow you to see things clearly and accomplish your goals more quickly.

Books that should be written Books that should be written - [quote:1m0dcpd7]"The Idiots Guide To Sticking With One Thing At A Time and Not Doing Something New All The Time" [/quote:1m0dcpd7] I myself am a 'constructive' procrastinator... I don't know if I'm alone in this. I have about six or seven projects I'm working on at any given time. I get one project almost done... then my interest is piqued by another project and I work on that... I get burnt out and move to another...I know I do this so I have it arranged such that once I get bored or burnt out with one project, I can step right back into project 1 - or 2 or 3, and get that a little bit more done before moving on to something else. As long as you're organized and know where all your reference material/idea sheets are when you're ready to get back to work on each project, it should be fine. I also find that by stepping away from a project - I still work on it in the recesses of my mind so that when I go back to it - it's with some good ideas that I wouldn't have had if I'd continued on with it originally. Maybe I should write a book on how to Procrastinate Constructively... I've actually thought about doing that...because most people procrastinate, don't they...and very few are ever able to stop.
