eHow it Might Sound Good But…

What if there was a site that paid you to write for it? You could contribute articles on topics that you loved and had a certain amount of expertise in. If this sounds good to you, then you really might like eHow.

eHow is one of those concepts that sounds like a really great way to pick up extra money or even make a lot of money. And who doesn't want to make more money? I know I sure do.

Successful Internet marketers know how to seize opportunity. eHow seems to offer opportunities aplenty, but one question remains. Does Ehow truly deliver?

eHow gives those who contribute to the site a percentage of the profits from advertising. This simple idea has powered eHow users to create a simply massive number of instructional videos and articles.

Not surprisingly many of these articles and videos are less than stellar, yet many are quite excellent. As the name indicates eHow instructs people through how-to articles and videos. Over the years the site has been used by millions of visitors.

Many feel that the problem with eHow is that it doesn't really work as a moneymaking tool. There are complaints that eHow members create content and don't really see much in the way of compensation. Those who are interested in using eHow to make money will have to access this aspect of the site for themselves.

Anyone considering using eHow needs to be aware that while you can promote yourself on the site, there is a good deal of controversy regarding the money making aspect of eHow. Numerous people have expressed their concern that the site just doesn't provide substantial earnings.

Of course, you want to make money especially for your time and effort. This means that you may want to proceed with caution when using eHow.

While some aspects of eHow are up for debate, there is no denying that the site does have a social networking component, and you can link your articles over to your website. This component can be very helpful, especially for those Internet marketers and entrepreneurs who target a specific clientele. Establishing one's self as an expert can always lead to bigger and better things. Thus, if you have a skill that you can teach, eHow may be for you!

I feel that it is vital to explore every possibility and evaluate it on your own. While eHow may not be for everyone, this doesn't mean that you will have a similar experience. What eHow has to offer is interesting. In the long run, you might feel that it is worth a look.

Is A Business Plan A Waste Of Time? Is A Business Plan A Waste Of Time? - According to various government statistics, up to 80% of businesses will fail within their first five years of operation. That number is staggering to me. At the same time, when I look at most business owners, most of them do not have a business plan for where they want to go. When you ask entrepreneurs why they don’t have a business plan, most of them will say something like: “it’s too much work”, “I’m not trying to raise money”, “it’s all in my head already”, or “my business changes too often for a business plan to be worthwhile.” Sound familiar? Did you write a business plan for your company when you first started? Are you planning on doing it for your new business idea?
How inventions will change in the future. How inventions will change in the future. - I just finished re-reading Richard Worzel's 'The Next 20 Years of Your Life." Originally published in 1997 (and purchased) I found it incredible to re-read this piece and see how dead on this man is as a futurist. Now, not all of his predictions came true but there is a ton of information around the ideas of a online social network and a world where anyone with a video camera can become a producer. Sound like facebook and youtube? One of the really interesting things I found was that Mr. Worzel has an amazing ability to articulate human behaviour in trends and through analysis. I especially found his comment, 'when women truly become the worlds next leaders, the development of technology for the sake of technology will stop.' Hmm....I doubt that. Does anyone have a favourite futurist they like to watch and listen too? Jude
Re: Back in action... Re: Back in action... - Hi David, Welcome back and I hope all is well with the family back in the UK. Sound like you had a nice evening on your return now that you are back in the saddle. Do I assume that you speak Japanese or do all the guests try to speak in English? The reason I ask is that I have spent a lot of time in Europe in my life and to my shame I have never tried (well not seriously) to speak a second language. Apart from French at school (which I have since lost) I have become like a lot of English speaking people and become lazy. I fully intend if at all possible to spend at least part of the year in Spain when I retire as I have always been happy there. For that reason I have just started Spanish language lessons in the hope that when I do retire I will have advanced to a level where I am comfortable with it. That’s the plan anyway; I would love to hear from other mods if you have any other languages or interesting experiences when trying to learn a new one, regards, Mal.
