My Story - What has this business opportunity meant for my life?

A struggling student
Less than 3 months ago i was a last year nurse student struggling to make a living. In my country of Norway students get's a loan and a small scholarship while studying. This small amount of money (about $1000 a month) was not even enough to cover my rent, my bills and the everyday costs of living. So I'd had to work to supplement my income.I worked at the local hospital and kinda liked it in a way. It was a good working environment with nice colleagues. But that was about it of what was positive about it.Working as a nurse is hard both psychical and physical. After about half a year working my back really started to say that enough was enough.
I worked about every weekend and some evenings during the week. This really gave me no spare time and no time to enjoy life. Not enough time to spend with my family and friends, and not time to develop myself as a individual. With all this effort and sacrifice the result should really be to a least have enough money not having to worry about bills and debt.
That was not the result. The result was that every month my debt and my loans were increasing. I still was not able to be pay my bills and still have money left over to enjoy life.Besides the fact that my student loan was increasing each month, I had to max out my MasterCard every month and the worst part; borrow money from family and friends.
The ad that changed it all
Last summer I worked about 40+ hours a week at the local hospital when my school was off. This summer really made me realize that the education that I was about to finishand the job I would do, would not meet my expectations. To make a decent living doing this job, the result would be a life without freedom. Not enough freedom to do what I wanted,
not enough freedom to live the life i deserve, not the freedom to do what I love and to be who I want. One late evening after coming home from work I was so sick and tired!I did my daily routine of checking my mail, reading the online newspaper and see what my friends were up to on facebook. Luckily I came over an add seeking entrepreneurs.Clicking that ad would show to change my life. The ad revealed a business opportunity and a company that really opened my eyes. The structure of the web pages impressed me and all the info really got me interested.I read through all the info and then decided to submit my application to start my own business. The fact that i needed to submit an application made me confident that this was a serious opportunity. After submitting my application I got access to a business overview page that gave me valuable information and really made me decide to start.
So how has this business opportunity changed my life?
I no longer work endless hours at the hospital. After 2 months in this business I fired my boss! Who wouldn't love to do that? Besides making more money off course, I now have the time to do what I love. I have more time with my family and friends. My health both psychical and physical is improved. In just a few days from now I'm going to a wealth conference and marketing event in Las Vegas. This is like a dream come true for me and I never could have done it without taking the first step and explore this great opportunity.
To your continues success,
Magnus

But hasn't there been a time when you've done or attended something which has benefited your direction even though you didn't think it would at first?[/quote:3fx4xoan] Kevin, I meant to say that I was refusing to take on new business opportunity offers. I don't say no to learning something new and asking a lot of questions. If I get approached by an opportunity then I'll look at a way that I can work together or find a way that I can promote that business and send leads their way.

The importance of a name The importance of a name - Hi Takuya, Sorry to be late on this. I congratulate you and your family on this juvenile moment of your life. I haven't had this opportunity in my life yet but definitely it would have been a great and rejoicing moment as I have heard it from many. I wish you all the luck and many more great moments with your new born Queen. and 'REINA' is for sure a good name. It's good to see people sharing such a happy moments of their life here too.
Business coaching takes top prize? Business coaching takes top prize? - Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the cool ideas! At the moment, it would seem that business coaching is the most popular prize followed by iPods, and web page redesign. I'll try my best to bring some of these ideas to life! Another thought I had was to offer the winner of the forum contest the opportunity to ask one question, which would then be answered by a well-known and respected business personality/expert. What do you guys think of that?
Re: Why Did You Become An Entrepreneur? Re: Why Did You Become An Entrepreneur? - Hi members, This is a great post by Evan and I am late getting on board but I thought I would ad my few cents worth, LOL. I must say that wanting to be an Entrepreneur or work for myself has never ever meant that I wanted to have my own company, that has never been my motivation. My motivation has always been to work from home and be in control of my life, nothing else. Just to be able to organise my life around working from home would be a dream come true for me and is something I am striving for. I have always been a fairly organised sort of person so the old trap of giving myself too much time off would probably work just the opposite for me. I would be so frightened of failure I would probably work too much. There is an old saying which goes something like ’If you love what you do then you never do a days work in your life’. It is something like that anyway and for many of us, working from home would seem like that, it certainly would for me, regards, Mal.
