Article Overview: In today's competitive network marketing climate, it has now become essential that you brand yourself as a network marketing leader and authority via your own 'hub' website. The good news is that branding yourself can be easy and very effective once you know the secrets I will reveal to you. It can also be fun (who doesn't want to have fun while they make money?). Don't miss these crucial steps to instantly turn yourself into the leader and authority that people are desperately looking for. Otherwise, chances are they won't be joining your opportunity or buying from you. They will be joining the person who has branded themselves as an expert!

#1 Reason for Network Marketing Success - Part Three

In this series, I am covering how Personal Branding and Positioning is vital to your home-based-business' success. In order for people to join with you or buy from you they must view you as a leader and an authority. They must see you as a top income earner, even if you aren't making any money yet. I will show you how to pull this off. It is very important, fundamental information to read the first two articles in this series before continuing.

In order to brand yourself you will need to create your own 'hub'. By 'hub', I mean a website where people can go to find out all about you, what you have to offer, read your articles, get free resources, etc. It is best done using one of the several free blog services out there. It can be done completely free using WordPress.org, WordPress.com, or Blogger.com. I highly recommend using the WordPress.org platform. It is a little extra work and you will need to get hosting for your site, but it will pay off in the future. Hosting can be very cheap (as little as $5 per month). I won't go into to much detail about the differences between the platforms in this article. Please feel free to contact me if you would like clarification on what the best platform is for you or where to find hosting.

Next, you will want to purchase a domain name using your name, such as johndoe.com. It can be a variation, like meetjohndoe.com. The important point is that your name is included.

The first element of branding and positioning is your headline. Your headline will appear on your Home page (alternatively you can title this the My Story page). This is your opening statement and is one of the first elements that your prospect will see. This statement should be in a relatively large font and is a compelling, quick statement of your story and what you have to offer the reader. You can think of your headline as a handshake to the prospect.

Like I said before, people want to work with a leader and an authority. So, your headline should focus on where you came from, who you are now, and how you can help your prospect get to where they want to go. As I stressed in my last article, you want to create your headline so that others will read it and think: This person is just like me! Keep in mind who your target audience is. They are all of those people who have been in the same situation (single mom, unemployed, worked in the corporate world for x years, etc) and want to find the same opportunity that you have now to offer them.

Here is an example: "How a Baby Boomer From Kansas Found the Secret to Earning 6-Figures Online After Spending Years Just-Getting-By as an Accountant."

Note that in this example, the person isn't saying that they are making 6-figures online, just that they discovered the secret to doing so. Isn't this what your company's opportunity is all about? I haven't come across one business opportunity yet that didn't tout making 6-7 figures monthly or yearly as a possibility. And this possibility is what you are offering your reader.

The other important thing I want to point out is the detail in the headline. Notice in the example I used how detailed it is with its descriptors: Baby Boomer, Kansas, Secret, x-Figures Online, Just-Getting-By, Accountant. The more detailed, the more someone out there who fits this description is going to be saying, This person is just like me!

The more people will be saying that when they see your site, the much more likely they will be to join. Your headline is like your handshake to your reader. You want to identify the problem (where you came from) and the solution (which is YOU and what you have to offer).

This is the beginning in creating your brand and your network marketing legacy.

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? Is it not legit?
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.

10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.
