How Do You Market Consistently for Successful Growth of an Online Business with no Advertising Budget?

Guest post by: SarahBeth White

Article Overview: You can grow a successful internet marketing business with little budgeting for advertising. It has been done by others so it can be done by you, or should I say by us as I am writing this article as one form of free advertising that I expect to see pay off for me. If you are not comfortable writing articles, there are many other "free" forms of advertising you can utilize in Facebook, Twitter, My Space and You Tube. Therefore, consistent, persistent action is the key to your low budget advertising success. Your assets must include patience and also the discipline to keep getting your message out there over and over.

How Do You Market Consistently for Successful Growth of an Online Business with no Advertising Budget?

You can grow a successful internet marketing business with little budgeting available for advertising. It has been done by others so it can be done by you, or should I say by us as I am writing this article as one form of free advertising that I expect to see pay off for me. If you are not comfortable writing articles, there are many other "free" forms of advertising you can utilize. Social Media especially is used by everyone no matter what your budget looks like.

Since you do not have the big money to spend on advertising you need consistent low cost advertising and promotion of your business. Yours will have to be highly effective advertising that you maintain on a DAILY basis. You may have $0 in your marketing budget, like me, which means you HAVE TO spend time every day working with the low cost and free options available to everyone even those who have huge marketing budgets. You/We have to work harder and smarter than the other guys utilizing these low cost/free options until you have sales to provide for other types of advertising.

Once you have sales money to work with, take a portion of your sales and turn them around to advertising options you can now afford but do that faithfully. Just because you now have money in an advertising budget does not mean you can let up on your previous plan of action. If you are lulled into the complacency of thinking those advertising dollars are going to make it for you just by throwing them around, you may find yourself starting all over again.

Therefore, consistent, persistent action is the key to your low budget advertising success. You cannot expect consistent traffic to happen overnight with a little effort here and a little effort over there. You need to take massive action in a targeted area and use tracking information to determine what is working or not working for you. Focus on one area until you get good at it, then add another. Since marketing is the instrument you choose to get out in front of your target audience, it can be the most rewarding or the most defeating aspect of setting a campaign in motion. You must passionately convince your customer you have something they cannot live without. Set another campaign in motion as soon as possible.

Although it has been proven that 95% of all businesses nationwide go bankrupt within 5 years, you do not have to be intimidated by those numbers. If you do not wish to become a percentage of that, you will have to be a savvy marketer who refuses to fail. You need to decide here and now if you have what it takes and if you are willing to put in the persistent daily action necessary to avoid being a part of the failures. I do not know about you but being labeled a failure does not do a lot for my self esteem no matter how big my pity party percentage is.

Another facet to your success comes from something most people do not have and do not want to develop which is patience. Work smart with drive and determination and stay focused. Please do not expect your choice of advertising to provide instantaneous results. It may or it may not. It may happen for the big players with their huge marketing budgets. I do not know as I am not one of them--YET. I only know that with a limited or non-existent marketing budget, I have made my decision to keep at it and never let up. I WILL NOT QUIT.

Your assets must include patience and also the discipline to keep getting your message out there over and over and over because a consumer needs to see your ad at least 7 times before he/she buys. As a little guy in a great big internet world, this repetition gives your company the credibility and recognition it will take to funnel that consumer to your ad enough times for him to buy your product. And again, be consistent and evaluate/track your methods. If they are not working for you after a reasonable time, leave that in place but move onto another form of ads. The internet is always evolving. If you do not change with it, you will be left behind.

Therefore unless you have the big bucks to back you up, you must have the time to invest in your business, if you want to succeed. We, "the little guys" just have to work harder and smarter. Set your goals and keep your eye on those goals and not on what so and so has achieved because he had the big money to throw around. Focus on your goals not the accomplishments of others unless that provides some form of encouragement to egg you on towards your goals. Always remember the "Why" of what you are doing. Why do you want this so badly?

My life is happier and more fulfilled than ever before. I now have time to spend with my son; time to go hiking with my dog, Mo; time to spend with close friends and family. Time = Freedom.

Considered to be highly educated. Enjoy traveling in the U.S. learning about our different cultures. Staunch Republican and Southern Baptist which is considered by some to be a lethal combination. Belonging to the ranks of those laid off, I am rebuilding my life so my writing will soon reflect as much. Burning desire in my soul to write but for two years now the only writing I have done is resumes and cover letters. Cattle on 1000 Hills as my blopspot name http://cattleon1000hills.blogspot.com, Facebook, have lain dormant too long. They are about to bust loose! My friends think I am crazy or brave or both but I have decided to leave the comforts of my 'home' and move to the mountains where I always planned on 'retiring'. I can enjoy hiking with my dog, Mo, sitting in front of my potbellied stove reading and writing, and sitting outside writing with the music of nature in my ears instead of all the sounds of the city which now annoy me. Mo, a Newffie, looks like a bear and we hope to see a black bear but not up close and personal. Mo is about the size of a smaller black bear so he will have to wear the hunting vests I custom made for him when we hike so no one mistakes him for one. I am so excited about our new life and long to begin writing from all that has been saved up during this dormancy.
