Online Internet Marketing Business versus a Dragon in the Basement?

Article Overview: Everyone has a dragon/skeleton in their closet. They can be left to fester or removed by putting them behind us and moving on. My dragon represents my former life in the "traditional" workforce versus the internet marketing business I have found which holds the promise of the most wonderful life compared to that dragon of a "traditional job" holding no promise and from which I was recently laid off. Being my own boss, working the hours I choose, pocketing my profits, owning my creative ideas--any of those strike a chord with you? There are opportunities that would benefit you greatly especially during these difficult economic times. E-commerce continues to grow despite what is going on in corporate America. No layoffs or pink slips when you are the boss of your own internet marketing business.

Online Internet Marketing Business versus a Dragon in the Basement?
The house is so cold this morning. My grandfather built this house in the 30's. Saying it can be a bit drafty is a huge understatement. I have tried to delay waking the Dragon, the old furnace, in the basement. But this morning, I will awaken him and ask him to warm up the house a little bit. That is what he is here for, is it not?
Well now the Dragon is on. But will he breathe a little fire through the vents? All I ask of him is just a small measure of warmth on this cold morning. However, he is making some pretty agitated sounds down there which means he does not want to be bothered and does not care that I am cold. I try to reason with him because I cannot sleep and prefer, instead, to get out of bed to work on the internet marketing business I have begun. Besides, while huddled in the cold and dark, ideas for new articles race through my head. I have work to do!
Furthermore, I really prefer the quiet of the morning without all that clanging around of your old metal parts. What is that, anyway?! Even the acorns have finished pelting my metal roof disrupting the morning's quiet. The old folks say that lots of acorns mean winter is going to be very cold. My office usually receives the most warmth from the dragon but I prefer he warm other rooms instead. Nevertheless, he does not listen to me especially since I am too afraid to go down into the basement to confront him face to face.
Back to the quiet of the day. It is so amazing how quiet the world is when you are up during the wee hours of the morning. I get twice as much done without all the mind clutter from daily affairs. My brain is becoming saturated with caffeine and nicotine which might not be the healthiest way to begin a fresh new day but pleasureable to feed those addictions. My brain goes into overdrive with creative thoughts, business ideas and wonderful ways to reach out and touch someone with my Internet marketing business.
Undoubtedly, you have been wondering how this article could somehow lead from the dragon in my basement to an online Internet marketing business. Well, the dragon in the basement represents my former life of cold and darkness before this tremendous opportunity came into my life. Before this discovery, I trudged to work every day with little hope of any change in the status quo. Well, actually there was a huge change. Igot laid off!
With that life change, my condition is now one of being psychologically unemployable. If you weigh the old traditional job on one side of the scales and on the other side, the benefits of working for yourself in an e-commerce industry growing in leaps and bounds, there is an astounding difference. There is too much in favor of a home based Internet marketing business. I have enjoyed not being overly stressed out by sending out resumes, cover letters, going to interviews, rejection letters and everything else that goes into pursuing traditional work. Compared to the time I spend on that search, the hours I spend working my online business seem much more promising.
Hopefully you will find as I have, the top internet marketing system available today. I urge you to get out from under the day to day stress of your "dragonistically" conventional job. The ingredients for success include input, hard work, determination and the ability to follow directions. Set your goals high and you will succeed beyond your wildest dreams and beyond anything the traditional job force has to offer.
Well, the dragon in the basement still refuses to provide his services. A lot like the job that laid me off. I have a goal to do that which includes being successful enough to totally replace that dragon in the basement with my dream of having central heat and A/C for this old house. My goals also include building the best online Internet marketing business I can with this proven system. I want to prove that those old dragons of the traditional job force cannot defeat me ever again and that the word "layoff" is no longer in my vocabulary.
Finally, my life is happier and more fulfilled because I now have time to spend with my son; time to go hiking with my dog, Mo; and time with close friends and family. Time = Freedom.

- Hi Kevin,
I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.

2009 is a new year and I'd like to create a new forum category to jazz things up! In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category.
I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above?

- We are running a Online Marketing Firm and we have some good clients to which we are offering a complete Digital Marketing strategy like Search, Mobile Marketing, Branding and Design. I think in Online Marketing company online presence can be a wining factor for the success of the company.

- Hi Kevin,
Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory.
Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing.
I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.

I completely agree! Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned.
And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
