Article Overview: My business, Cattle On 1000 Hills, bears a peculiar name since I do not sell land or cattle. Psalm 50:10 states: For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. God will never need our money but He desires our obedience. Upon discovering this fantastic home based Internet marketing business, I believed its name should be equally unusual. I wanted the name to point to the fact that God owns all we think is ours, all the material "stuff" we accumulate during our lives. We believe all that stuff makes us wealthy but as the old adage says: You can't take it with you.

Why Does this Successful Internet Marketing Business Bear Such an Unusual Name?
To begin: Cattle On 1000 Hills is a peculiar name since I do not sell land or cattle. Psalm 50:10 states: For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. God does not need our money but He wants our obedience. Upon discovering this fantastic home based Internet marketing business, I believed its name should be equally unusual.
Though it may cause confusion as some may assume I am in the cattle business, if I can invite cattle ranchers and cowboys to look at my business, where is the harm in that? My point in choosing this name was to point to the fact that God owns all we think is ours. We accumulate so much material "stuff" during our lives. We believe this stuff makes us wealthy but as the old adage says: You can't take it with you.
Thankfully God is in control. He knows everything about everything. Our present condition is not what He desires for us. Some try to say He started the earth spinning and left it to self-destruct blaming Him for the earth's miserable condition. Look into a baby's eyes or hear it coo to know all is under His control. Look at a beautiful sunset or a rainbow. Can you explain them away or accept them as God inspired and designed? He put rainbows in place as His promise after Noah and his family survived the flood that destroyed the earth. The rainbow is a reminder of that promise.
Being laid off recently as so many others have been, I decided to focus on finding a top notch Internet marketing business in addition to performing the traditional job search. But I now consider myself to be psychologically unemployable, unable to fit into any traditional job. Fortunately during my search, God provided the answer I had searched for so many other times. His guidance is infallible and it will be His direction that I choose to follow now in this business arena. Many will laugh at me for taking this stance while others will consider me crazy. But if I have God on my side then no derision matters.
Even though there was no intent to preach in this article, telling you what works for me may come across that way. It takes determination and hard work to find and build a successful home based marketing business. I have given you the "how to find it" part of the formula. Now you must see how you can reach your dreams and goals through this system which requires your input, hard work, determination and the ability to follow directions.
Finally my life is happier and much more fulfilled because I now have time to spend with my son; time to go hiking with my dog, Mo; and time to spend with close friends and family. Time = Freedom. Remember: do not be deceived by the name. There is no cattle or land for sale here. That all belongs to God.

I can enjoy hiking with my dog, Mo, sitting in front of my potbellied stove reading and writing, and sitting outside writing with the music of nature in my ears instead of all the sounds of the city which now annoy me. Mo, a Newffie, looks like a bear and we hope to see a black bear but not up close and personal. Mo is about the size of a smaller black bear so he will have to wear the hunting vests I custom made for him when we hike so no one mistakes him for one. I am so excited about our new life and long to begin writing from all that has been saved up during this dormancy. - Hi Kevin,
I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.

- Hi Kevin,
Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory.
Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing.
I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife
- I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways..
a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak.
Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc..
Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL.
There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.

Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here and thank you for telling us a little about yourself. You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great.
Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way,
