The internet marketing industry and direct sales industry is continuously growing every day. More and more people are coming to therealization that in the new global economy there is no such thing as job security. People are coming to the painful realization that they have to create another means of income in order to survive. Internet Marketingmuch like any kind of success it simply a matter of continual repeating the same action daily without stop making sure that your weekly and monthly results arealign with your daily method of operation. Below are theSix steps that you must have in order to call yourself a successful network marketer

• 1) Mentor: Every internet marketer should have someone they look up to and go to for advice. The mentor at its best example should be someone that has the results that your are looking for and someone who benefits from your success financially or personally

•2) Master Mind Group: You should work on building a master mind group a small handful of people who are in the same business and bounce ideas back and forth. Talk to them about what hurdles your experiencing and trying to overcome. They might have gone through the same thing and have the answers your looking for. Most Internet Marketers fail because they try to build their business alone and don't use their community for help and leverage. The best place to find people are at national events .

•3) Residual Income: To be considered a successful internet marketer you have to create a residual income. The company or whatever product that you are promoting has to be of high value in order for you to receive any kind of substantial income. Your team is the best way of creating that residual income because you leverage yourself by teaching people how to duplicate your actions for success.



•4) Personal Branding: The internet is overflowing with so many people who claim to be the Messiah of internet Marketing and can teach yourself to have the same powers. You need to be able to separate yourself from the rest of the pack. YOU are your best resource and you are your company ,so you have to separate yourself from everybody else in order to increase all probability that people will come to your web page as opposed to someone else's.



•5) Training: Successful Internet Marketing causes for constant training and keeping abbess on what is current. The internet is a evolving changing algorithm and you have to constantly be adapting or you will easily find yourself behind the curve.



•6) Leadership You have to be a leader in order to attract the right people. People naturally want to follow and they are looking for someone who is similar to them. People are looking for you to lead but you have to lead by action its not what you say but what you do that people see and aspire to. Remember where you are now and how difficult it is to get a understanding on internet marketing. Keep that because you will be able to empathize more with your team when they are confused. Your team will appreciate you all the more when they the light bulb goes off and they figure it out for themselves.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.

You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.

In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category. I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above?
