Find your “way to money”. If you are just starting out online, begin with an effective strategy. Your way to money starts by setting yourself up for success. Do your research. Do not go for the first business opportunity you see. Find a company that shares your values. Evaluatethe products or services that the company offers and determine if they are a good fit for you. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself whether at least ten of your top 100 local contacts would actually want to buy the product on a consistent basis. If not, this company is not your way to money. Move on.

When you do find the right company, get online and find the right long term mentor. Align yourself with a person who has shown true success. Have several conversations with them until you are satisfied that they will work with you patiently and help you to get past the learning curve. Proper training on the company, the products or services and the compensation plan is important. You want to align yourself with someone who will make sure you have all of the answers, no matter how trivial.

The most important step in finding your way to money is to ensure you have an effective online marketing strategy. Remember, the “company” marketing plan does not qualify as an effective marketing strategy and it is not your way to money. A solid online marketing program is the answer, andquite frankly the missing link for most people that struggle along, or simply give up.

The company marketing plan usually involves selling to your friends and family. That may give you an initial push, but if you are in it for the long term, after sixty to ninety days, you will be sorely disappointed with your results if this is your only marketing plan. Find an online marketing program that will compliment and enhance your primary business efforts.

Your way to money is best found through a marketing program that will help you to build unlimited leads online. The program must have the best education component possible and the program must keep you up to date on changes and fresh marketing techniques. If the marketing system is credible, it will also offer you compensation for introducing others to the program. And finally,the program must be easy to duplicate. If you end up in a company that pays you well for building out a network of company reps, you will want to be in a program that they can join, too. If your program is easy to follow and easy toduplicate, this will enhance their business efforts and impact your income tremendously.Remember, your way to money is on solid footing if you build a team of 50 or more reps. That same entrenched team of 50 reps, all utilizingan effective marketing strategy will eventually provide you with true financial freedom.

Re: Which would you start: a Blog or Online Community? - It is a difficult decision to make. Lets start it this way - What are you more interested in? Money? or Friends? or Both? If its purely Money, then Blog might be an appropriate answer. But consider this - It will be people (visitors) that will bring traffic to your blog and then Money will follow. This will be possible after a time and during this time it will be your friends who will be the starters. If you are looking for friends only, then its true that not many will be interested in knowing how you have beaten them in the game or the other way round. So it will be preferable to have a Forum where they can share ideas with you and others. But you can share your insider knowledge with them and invite comments from your Blog. You can also put up information on what others (including your friends) don't know about Tennis. The blog you create can provide News, Inside Information and also Techniques that can be used by the new entrants in the world of Tennis.
QuickBooks vs. Microsoft Money vs....? - I have always used Microsoft Money to run my business - accounting, invoicing, etc. It came with my computer when I got it and integrated well with my online banking system so everything is a breeze. It only takes 30-60 minutes every quarter to do the bookkeeping (keep in mind that I have a very simple business - no inventory, very little invoicing, I do all my payments by credit card, etc). Is QuickBooks or Money the best accounting tool for small business owners? Or is there something even better?
