Five Simple Steps to Network Marketing Success That Are Essential to Your Business Plan
If you've just recently started a network marketing business or perhaps you're an old hand looking for a little bit of guidance here's my quick list of five simple steps to network marketing success.Apply these steps as part of your business plan and you will begin to see results in a matter of weeks.
Mindset
The first thing you need to get right is your mindset and very often this is the last thing people consider when starting out on the long and winding network marketing road. Why? Because if you do not see success in your future you will fail.
Okay, that said, what do we really mean when we say you have to get the right mindset? Let's face it, there are a lot of network marketing coaches and ,b>mentors out there banging the same drum but what does it actually mean for YOU?
I guess for each of us this is unique. What buttons I have to press to maintain a positive mindset and focus on success and not on failure could be the same or very different to yours but I have recognized and isolated mine in a way that allows me to battle with my demons and come out on top.
Attitude
This may seem similar but in fact it is very different. Attitude is what makes you get out of bed in the morning go to work and come home in the evening ready to start out all over again, building a network of relationships, marketing your business across various social networking sites and following through with your leads and prospects when all you really want to do is drink a nice glass of beer and listen to Bob Dylan for an hour or two.
Attitude is what will keep you going when others put their feet up and take a rest and attitude is what will stop you from giving up when the door gets slammed in your face twenty, thirty or even a hundred times in a single week.
Strategy
Any good business plan is based on a clear marketing strategy. In network marketing the strategy is always one of growth but how this is achieved is the illusive part for many networkers. We've all heard the figures quoted; less than 5% of network marketers actually make money in the industry. The other 95% end up with a very expensive hobby which they like to call a business. So, why is this so and what can you do to make sure you join the 5% and not the other 95%?
You should see your business as a business from the start. If you were going to start a real world business you would set out a business plan, budget and forecast with key milestones, targets and objectives to keep you and your business on track so this is exactly what you should do with your network marketing business.
Set goals at key stages such as 4 weeks, 3 months and 6 months and the end of the first year.
Set a budget for each four week cycle to cover advertising, business administration costs, products (if your company requires you to purchase products) and other expenses. Be realistic! This is a business you are building so if some guy tells you it can be done for free walk the other way.
Planning
Plan your work and stick to the plan. Decide how many hours you have available each day and week to work on your business and commit those hours to building your network marketing business.
Write your action plan down on a poster or in a diary planner and make yourself accountable to it. If you are prepared to commit to a seven day week, working four to five hours every evening online, you'll soon start to see the impact this will have on your network marketing business.
Make time available within the weekly plan to develop new marketing skills, to plan your work for the week ahead and to follow up and work with your existing team members across various social networking platforms to maintain your online profile. Don't forget, it's far more cost effective to retain an existing business builder than to find a new one.
Action
The last part is simple and yet powerful. Take small steps and act them out each day, repeatedly over time until you start to see the results of your actions. A lot of marketers make the mistake of coming online, putting out a few articles, posting a few links to their website or running a few ads on Google and then sit back to see what's going to happen.
If you want to be successful and you want to join the 5% of people who are able to generate a serious income online from a network marketing business then repeated intelligent action over time will result in business growth. It's a simple formula.
