Don't Be Ashamed....

Article Overview: As a Minnesota home based entrepreneur, I get to talk to a lot of people about their potential future also as a home based entrepreneur. One of my specific areas of business is network marketing; which is also THE largest group of clients that I work with. Although, most people are not cut out for an entrepreneurial career anyway, I hear a lot of excuses as to why these people choose to stay an employee and not take control of their financial futures. The one excuse that I want to talk about today is being ashamed to tell others what they would be doing as a network marketing professional or being recognized as "different" because they wouldn't have to wake up every morning and drive to a job like everyone else.

Don't Be Ashamed....

As a Minnesota home based entrepreneur, I get to talk to a lot of people about their potential future also as a home based entrepreneur. One of my specific areas of business is network marketing; which is also THE largest group of clients that I work with. Although, most people are not cut out for an entrepreneurial career anyway, I hear a lot of excuses as to why these people choose to stay an employee and not take control of their financial futures. The one excuse that I want to talk about today is being ashamed to tell others what they would be doing as a network marketing professional or being recognized as "different" because they wouldn't have to wake up every morning and drive to a job like everyone else. There should be no guilt is making lots of money as a home based entrepreneur. You deserve it! What has this economy given you other than a "big punch in the mouth?"

Now, what about the issue of telling people you are in the profession of network marketing? Like my article states, "every single person is already in network marketing." Why not finally get paid for it? Besides, you don't have to tell anyone that you are a network marketer. You are, in fact, an entrepreneur who makes a substantial income from your home office by being on the internet all day. Now how does that sound? Good? It's true! So much of the work in this business is done before you even speak to a real person. By the time you do get on the phone, or SKYPE, or Facebook chat with a prospect, they already have most of the information they need in order to tell you, "I want to work with YOU!"

How many people do you know that sell Avon, or Pampered Chef, or Mary-Kay, or MonaVie, or candles, or energy drinks, or etc, etc? Chances are you have at least been invited to a party by a friend or family member to try out some cosmetics, food, wine, Tupperware, or bedroom fantasy novelties. What happens at the end of the party? Of course, you get asked to purchase something. This is network marketing!

Now, let me ask you this.....how many of those people do you think are making a substantial income from those "side businesses?" Not many, right? It's because they limit themselves to home parties and "word-of-mouth" advertising. How many people come to one of those parties? Maybe up to 50, if they are lucky? That's so miniscule in comparison to the amount of traffic you can generate by taking your business to the internet like I have. By leveraging the internet, you can reach millions of people in a single day. With a reach that large, how many sales do you think your friends and family could make now?

That's powerful information! That's the kind of business I own and operate. That's the kind of business that's available to you if you are willing to "risk" your image. That's the kind of business that doesn't sound very shameful to me!

Don't be ashamed to create a different lifestyle for yourself.

Re: Who hates cold calling? - I saw this and had to chime in. I HATE COLD CALLS. lol its terrible and a wast of my time. Something i have done is gotten online and found all the networking event happening in my area for the next 2 months and i try and go to about 3 a week. Even just for an hour. Dont bring any business cards. Just meet new people ask them alot about what they do, not too much about what i do and follow up the next day or 2. Has worked well
