Google Adwords Management: How To Avoid the Google Slap

Man oh man, has anyone else noticed some Internet marketers kinda freaking out about Google? The search engine giant is bringing the hammer down hard on the home business industry. Actual law suits are being filed by Google. Many believe they are being a tad extreme, and some marketers feel personally attacked and abused by Google. The dreaded Google Slap has a big brother now, 'Law Suits'. This article may shed some light on what's happening with your Adwords account by illuminating Google's priorities, challenging your keyword selection and having you compare your offers with your competitor's. It's time for some strong Google adwords management.

Let's be clear about something, Google's number one priority is not it's advertisers, their number one priority is their users. Average searchers. Google wants to give searchers the most relevant information available, in the shortest time possible. People trust that Google will give them the most relevant content. If a user's experience is not completely awesome, then Google will be unamused because they will have failed their priority...the user experience. Is it Google's fault that the ad isn't what people want? Let's find out...

If people click on your ad and immediately hit the back button on their browser, that tells Google that the ad does not particularly match the user's search query. So, are you using strong keywords? Keywords that are appropriate for your offer? Are you actually using keywords like: 'work at home', 'mlm', 'network marketing', or other such HIGHLY policed phrases? These are constantly and aggressively policed by human beings over at Google. Go to the results page for your keywords using Google. Look at the ads around you and click on them to see where your competition is leading searchers. Are some of the sites and offers you click through to scams? Get rich quick schemes? Is it possible that every ad around you is completely offensive garbage and you are totally guilty by association?

There are a grotesque amount of sharks, ignorant marketers, and selfish jerks all over the Internet, it is after all, populated by people. The good news is that their are also millions of incredible people who are honest and market with integrity. Be aware of the company you keep.

What is your offer like? Surely you realize that people who become your leads have been shopping around online, possibly for weeks or even months, checking out different offers which will certainly include your competition. I"m speaking here of actual competition from proper marketers, not the get rich quick sharks. You can bet that strong competitors will be keeping tabs on your sites and ads and marketing, and they will address certain points of your offer in theirs which, among other things, will give them authority and credibility over you. Address your competition's offer, or somebody else will. Your ad's quality score will start to dive and so will your ad. Your bids will go up, your position will slide, and the mighty Googlesaurus Rex willnot give your ad priority.

Before you start feeling sorry for yourself and thinking Google hates you, have a look at their terms of service, are you in violation? Many marketers are and don't even realize it. Become a master at uncovering powerful keywords that are totally relevant to you and You, Inc, and stay ahead of your competitors.

How Many Ad Campaigns Have You Tried Before One Worked? How Many Ad Campaigns Have You Tried Before One Worked? - I actually got this idea from a comment made by Litekepr a few weeks ago. People are always looking for ad campaigns that will drive business their way, and get discouraged when they don't get instant results. Would anyone care to share how much advertising they did, and where, before a campaign 'clicked' and the business took off? I publish an SF webzine, with ads there from Google Adsense as well as Amazon. A few months ago, in order to drive traffic there, I also tried Google Adwords, which was a big mistake. An expensive week before I figured out how big a mistake it was. --- Unless you're selling big ticket items, Adwords is not the way to go. Now, simply by having a lot of pages on the net, lots of links, etc. my traffic is growing and my adsense income is growing. It's taken a year to get respectable...
Re: What would you do with your last $1000? Re: What would you do with your last $1000? - I would put into my business certainly. If money sleeps then you will lose it. Nearly the eaxct situation happened with me. I had my last 750$ in my pocket to make money online. If I spent it in a wrong way, I would have to lose my chance to own business on the Internet. But I used it wisely and bought D. Gerl's Insider Secrets to Internet Marketing. Then put the rest of the money into Google Adwords and could save my business. But now..... I would continue my monthly membership on SubmitYourArticles Article Submission Service (37$), buy Revolution Wordpress Theme, maintain monthly membership on J. Humpereys ASC membership program and the rest of money put into Google Adwords and Yahoo Ads. Orxan
How Do You Check Google Ranking? How Do You Check Google Ranking? - Now that Google is so responsive to your own search history, how can you get a good idea of what your Google ranking really is for your web pages? Whenever I check my ranking for specific keywords on Google, my web pages appear on the front page, or suspiciously high. My way around this is to check Google ranking via other computer Internet links, i.e., whenever I'm working in a library I will use a library computer to check. I check Google ranking before logging into my Gmail or other Google-related accounts. Does anybody else have any other tips for discovering your Google ranking? Nowadays, I check Bing.com for my webpage ranking as it gives a much less favourable (and so, I guess, "truer") ranking for my webpages than Google does...
