When deciding to start an online business or changing your online business, most people look at what the business is offering, how much money they can make, how fast they can make it and lot more. The one important ingredient they fail to look at is themselves. Are they ready to be successful? Do they have the commitment to be successful? There are a lot of components that make a successful entrepreneur but most people don't realize that most of the time it has nothing to do with the business they are in.

Let's do a gut check first. What are your reasons for starting your online business? Are your reasons strong enough so it will keep you focus to do whatever it takes to be successful? Will they keep you committed to assure that no matter what obstacle is thrown your way, you will keep on going?

What do you need to do to be successful? You have to be willing to learn and willing to be taught. Understand that the people teaching you usually have been through the trial and error period and will save you steps and money. Don't think you are smarter than the people you work with. You have to be willing to spend the time and effort in your business that is needed. If you commit to 10 hours a week on your business, you will get results of someone that works 10 hours and the same would go someone that invest 40 hours a week. Make sure you take in consideration how will affect your time with your family if you have a family? You will be required to invest money in your business, how much do you have available to get started? The least you invest, the longer it will take you to achieve your financial goals and vice versa.

Most successful entrepreneur will tell you that the 97% of the entrepreneur that have failed or will fail over the next 3 years will fail because of the reasons above and 4 more ingredients. Discipline, persistence, consistency and planning are 4 components that you absolutely need to be a successful entrepreneur.

Gut check and knowing the 4 components you need to be successful, now you can go look for a business knowing that you have what it takes to be successful.
