The days of starting the traditional brick and mortar business are behind us and starting an internet business is the new way to earn a massive income without having to invest a lot of money. So where do you learn how you can start an internet marketing business? The answer, right here in this article!

The first important piece that decides how successful you will be is you. What I mean is, what is your "Why" to want to become a serious entrepreneur. What drives you to want to make a better life for yourself? If your "Why" is not strong enough, you will not be successful no matter what you try. Next you will need to learn to be consistent with all your commitments, you will need to be extremely focused, you cannot be a procrastinator; you have to learn how to make the sale and last and know how to conduct a good follow up.

Once you know you have what it takes to become successful, your next step will be to decide what kind of internet marketing business you want to start. They are many but here's a few you can look at. Multi-Level marketing business "MLM" is probably the most popular type of business out there. The word level is the key word is as you have to build a certain number of levels to achieve success. They are referred as downlines where when you enroll someone to do the same as you and you get a part of their commission and the same for them as they build their business. It usually takes about 1 to 2 years to create a $3,000 to $4,000 monthly income. Now each MLM will require from you to be a customer in order to be a distributor.

Affiliate programs are also available. An affiliate program is a business where you promote a company's product on your website in exchange for a commission for each product you sell. Typically the commissions are around 25% to 50% for each sale you make. You can set up an account with many companies like Click Bank and Amazon.

The last one I will discuss with you today is a 5 year old model which is called GPT which stands for Get Paid Today. The concept is for each entrepreneur to get a large commission up front (more than $1,000) and a residual income on the back end for each sale. This business model is becoming more and more popular today.

The last item on my list for you to look at what is business offering to you as the entrepreneur? Remember that you are the one investing your money so be comfortable with your investment. Look at the training; is it easy to understand and effective? The compensation plan is next, only advice I can give you here is if the business is offering you a 50% or 75% commission on all your sales, think how many sales will you need to make every month to make the income you want to make.

Look at the track record, do they any testimonials and if they do, do they have any affidavits for those testimonials? Are you at a disadvantage because you are new with the business or is everyone on the same level? Is the program simple and is it mobile? Do you have to get your friends and family to join to be successful? And do they offer you a money back guarantee?

It is not easy to become an entrepreneur but the rewards are great. If you have the qualities needed and the right business, you can create a 5 figure monthly income that will pay you for the rest of your life. Re: Who Said Twitter Doesn't Work...? - Almost any marketing method CAN work for anyone depending on a number of factors. But I consider a good marketing method to be one that works for the majority of people all the time (as long as they are doing it correctly). An example of that would be article marketing. Twitter, on the other hand, is something that does not work well as a marketing method for the majority of people, even though so many people want it to work so badly that they try to convince everyone that it does. I've yet to hear from even one internet marketer I know that the traffic they get from Twitter converts into money in some way on a regular basis. Yeah it happens on occasion but nothing compared to several other marketing methods that work for years to come such as link building, SEO, article marketing, etc... I still need more convincing before I start drinking the Twitter kool-aid as a marketing method. I have nothing against Twitter. I do have two accounts there and I get on almost every day for a little bit. But it just isn't good for business... At least not business as far as most of us here are concerned, which is internet marketing, affiliate marketing, Adsense, and a few other similar monetization methods.

I would like to keep this forum a place where internet business owners can learn how to do internet marketing themselves. You must have a great deal of experience in internet marketing. What things in specific (please list out) can ones only learn from experience? I feel people could learn from your experience. Can you share any of your experiences with us? I do understand there is nothing like hands on experience. Maybe you can set up a free online course for people to "experience" this. Jeff
How can I start home-based business? - Hi , there are several marketing strategies available in the internet. but have to decide the trusted one otherwise the result is u will loose ur time and u will never get the commission regularly. Also before get started with anything you have to learn much about that for that its better to surf on internet and you will find some good knowledge and how to increase your revenue using internet marketing.
