The secrets of Successful Entrepreneurs

Success is define as an event that accomplishes it's intended purpose. The difference between a successful entrepreneur and one that is not are the little things that he/she does daily, consistently. Let's break it down to see why this is so important.

For example, we all know we should eat vegetables every day. We all know we should exercise 3-4 times a week. The decision that we make to do or not to do those things consistently decides if we are going to be healthy and at a good weight or over weight and sick more often. Now it is not the decision to skip doing the action 1 time that changes the whole scenario but the repeated action to skip exercising will decide our weight or eat well that will decide if you are healthy. What do you think will happen if you don't work out for 1 month or worse a year?

So you see, it is the actions we take every day that decide if we will be successful or not. The act of inaction is a lot easier than to do the opposite. If we look at the big picture, and we are able to look at what would happen in the future if we don't do the action for 5 years and we are able to see the consequences, it might scare us enough to take actions every day.

Let's translate this into your business. You have your online business that you have either just started or are struggling to get going. What is your plan of action? Have you made an itinerary of your schedule that will decide how many hours of each day you will spend on your business? Did you break it down as to how much time you will spend on revenue producing activities, how much time on training etc.? What would happen if you made the plan but you did not follow it? You get the point.

A successful entrepreneur is very organize and consistent. They won't push worked off to tomorrow. They will assure all activities for their businesses are completed and have a plan done for tomorrow.

CEOs and Email - Slaves? CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.
Books for Women Entrepreneurs Books for Women Entrepreneurs - There's a thread for good books in the Resources folder, but it doesn't target books for businesswomen particularly, so I figured I'd start such a thread here. It doesn't matter how successful you are in your business - it's always possible to learn something new. In subsequent posts I give Table of Contents and brief descriptions for various titles - most of them devoted to the businesswoman - and sometimes a review.
