A lot of people think that starting an online business is a great idea. They really believe you can make a lot of money but they think it is not for them. They use many reasons like they are too old, they do not have enough time, they do not have the knowledge, they do not think they are capable or the last one which no one will tell you is they are afraid to fail.

Let's start with age. I read a story about a senior citizen the other day. He said he did not give any thought about starting an online business because he was too old. After his own son finally convinced him, he started to spend a little bit of time just to please his son (or as he put it, keep his son off his back). All of sudden he started to make a little bit of money by just doing some of the things his son told him to. So he decided to invest more time in his online business and became a very successful online business entrepreneur. Today is only regret is that he did not listen to his son sooner.

It really does not matter how old you are. To start a top online business in 2010, all you need is the following things.

• 1. Invest time
• 2. Be willing to learn
• 3. Understand failing is learning
• 4. Be Focus
• 5. Be Consistent
• 6. Be Motivated
• 7. Be a good student
• 8. Do the work

If someone uses one of the five rejections above, explain to them what I just told you but if they are still thinking they can't, keep them on your radar for follow-up calls. They have personal issue they must address before they are ready to start their online business. Check with them every month so they know they still have the opportunity but don't waste your time, there are plenty of people that are ready to work with you today.
