What does a good leader need or look like

Look behind you and see how many people are following you by choice. If nobody or only a few individuals are following you, you need to read beyond this point. If you have more than a few, you still need to read this article. So what does a good leader need or look like?

What does a good leader need or look like

In today's home based business industry, if you are selling products or services you are unlikely to succeed. A successful entrepreneur or home based business owner will tell you that to be successful you have to be a good leader. How do you know if you are a good leader you ask? Look behind you and see how many people are following you by choice. If nobody or only a few individuals are following you, you need to read beyond this point. If you have more than a few, you still need to read this article. So what does a good leader need or look like?



The first thing you should know is there are 5 different types of leaders.



•1. The king of all leaders. I will call him/her the Great Leader.

•2. The good leader. He/she is effective and drives the business forward.

•3. The competent leader. Organized and uses resources very well.

•4. The contributing leader. Very hands on the results of the business.

•5. The very capable individual. Has talent and skills and good work habits.



For the sake of this article I will only refer to the great leader and the good leader. This way you can see what you need to do to get to the top.



The first thing a great leader does is lead by example. He/She will exemplify the behavior they want within their business. The great leader understands that it is not what needs to be done that is important but who is going to do it. So they will hire the best candidates possible. Good leaders will get many average people on their team to do what he/she directs them to do. The great leaders are not afraid to confront the brutal facts head on.



The King of Leaders is extremely discipline. They know they don't have all the answers so they rely on a team effort. The great leaders are very humble. When the business is doing well, the great leader will give credit to everybody but themselves and if there is no one to give credit to they will say they were lucky. When the business is performing poorly, they will take a good look in the mirror and take all the blame. A good leader will take credit and who will be able to tell you who is to blame when things go wrong.



A true leader always sets up the business he is managing for success long after he/she is gone. A good leader would be caught up with his/her ego and would almost wish the company to fail just to show how indispensable he/she is. The great leaders are extremely determined. They infect the people around them with their drive for continuous sustained results. They are obsessed with doing everything they have to do to make the company successful.



They are a number of great leaders around us that have not been discovered yet. There is a leader in each of us. Unfortunately a lot of the potential great leaders are led by good leaders and learn the incorrect style of leadership to become the King of all leaders. You have the potential to be a great leader. Find one that can be your leader and mentor and become the best leader you can be.

You have to be clever, keen, and witty in all your business dealings. You have to show mental alertness and intelligence so that you can win the respect and trust of customers and other clients. 3. A leader – leadership is a characteristic that is hard to find among individuals. Not many individuals have the nerve to take the lead. To become a good entrepreneur, you must be a leader. Some say that this is a born characteristic but if you don’t possess it, you can also learn to become a leader. You're quite lucky if you're a born leader because you only have to develop your other qualities and use them when you choose to become an entrepreneur. As a leader, you should be able to guide, influence, and direct people. This way, you can handle all your business activities with ease and fewer worries. 4. Inner passion for business – another important characteristic is having the right passion for business. You have to maintain your enthusiasm and interest in the business. As long as you have the right drive and passion, you can run the business for a long time. 5. Honest and trustworthy – some say that eighty percent of an entrepreneur's time is dedicated to pooling and attracting customers. This may be true because without the customers, the business will not exist. You have to be honest and trustworthy so that you can develop good will. There are other characteristics that an entrepreneur should possess. These characteristics help him or her do all the business responsibilities and obligations that need to be done. These are also the keys to business success. If you want to finance a certain business venture and run the business yourself, you should develop these characteristics. Without them, your business will soon fail and you will suffer the losses. Be thankful if you already have the characteristics of an entrepreneur. All you need to do now is to study the market carefully, think of a good business venture, and provide for the capital and you're all set.

Being the winner of "The Celebrity Apprentice" is simply about doing whatever it takes to win the most amount of money for your respective charity (i.e. the last person standing has the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to his/her designated charity). It's all about following the show, "Survivor's" tagline of "outwit, outplay and outlast" and that's why Piers is a strong contender.
