Is There A ‘Secret Ingredient’ To Success In Networking Marketing?

How come two similar people come into our network marketing businesses, they face the same opportunity, but have completely different outcomes? It's not a question of one having more talent, skill or intelligence than the other one. One takes the 'bull by the horns' and builds a solid foundation for their network marketing business and goes onto to grow a substantial residual income, while the other one 'plays around', not achieving anything significant, so what is it that makes all the difference?

For us as a sponsor it can be frustrating and difficult for us to understand? We start blaming ourselves for their failure, and ask ourselves if there was anything more we could have done to ensure their success? "Did we carry out all our sponsoring obligations to the full?" It can leave us feeling frustrated, until we eventually realise that this is normal and you just need to move on.

Showing someone 'how to do it' is not the answer, there is no secret ingredient to success in network marketing. The secret ingredient that a successful person has is their own personal philosophy; they are able to achieve success because they can change the way they think. A persons philosophy will help determine whether they will continue to do those small 'actions' every day to be successful, even though they can't actually see any significant measurable differences; success is very subtle.

The problem is that your emotions dictate how you feel every day; we may decide to go on a diet tomorrow to improve our health. We are really good for the first week and loose a couple of pounds, but by the end of the second week we have lapsed slightly as we can't see any dramatic improvement in our shape, by the end of the third week we are pretty much back to our old eating regime and have put on the couple of pounds we lost and a little bit more! We gave in before we had any significant results, we wanted instant gratification and it didn't come quickly enough for us.

If success were easy then everyone could be successful. The 'actions' required to be successful in network marketing are easy, but those 'actions' are also easy not do as well. Those top 5% have the philosophy that if they just do the simple actions in their business every day, success will happen, 95% of people just give up to early!

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said: "The law of nature is, Do the thing, and you shall have the power: but they who do not the thing have not the power."

Re: Success Re: Success - I study success intently, and would like to share: Here's two excellent and nearly identical success-formulas from a couple of the world's masters. FIRST FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Clear, Definite Purpose 3. Committed Decision 4. Take Action In Faith (Bonus Secret Sauce: 5. Repeat Consistently) I made a video about this, but am not allowed to link it yet. Google "Ryze Success Steps" for it. Oh, and this is Napoleon Hill's (Master Of Success Laws)'s Formula. SECOND FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Understand It Is Already Done (Faith) 3. Relax & Allow It To Unfold (Go about your life calmly) This one is courtesy of Abraham-Hicks (inspiration for the movie The Secret). Hope that helps!
Re: Web Business Podcast is LIVE! :) Re: Web Business Podcast is LIVE! :) - Hi David - have you thought of making these into videos? Even if it doesn't have you live on screen? Remembering the Success Secret Keywords would be a lot easier if we could see them.
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
Re: Make Friends...Literally BUILD them! Re: Make Friends...Literally BUILD them! - I agree! Networking is definitely the key word here. What does everyone feel about the different Networking platforms out there? Twitter Facebook LinkedIn what are some others?
Re: How to Promote Your Business Online Re: How to Promote Your Business Online - Thanks for the list ZekeLL , I use many of these ways to promote my online business and am looking into using more of them. I also use Article Marketing, Social Networking and Blogging which I find a very good way to get traffic to my site and also gain valuable backlinks. Take care, Carol
