Smart Network Marketers Never Chase Prospects, Instead They Get Prospects To Chase Them!

Does your down line soon run out of steam in building their network marketing business? Are you frustrated that they aren't talking to enough prospects every day? Learn how to make it easier for your down line to have a constant stream of interested prospects to talk too.

Most Network Marketers never have enough prospects in the sales funnel at any one time; to reach any sort of success in their MLM business. When they do have someone to talk to, they're usually so excited that someone has actually said they are interested in looking at their business, that they fall over themselves to be accommodating, and practically throw up all over the new prospect with how fantastic their business opportunity is. So how can a distributor become more relaxed and confident when talking to a new prospect, and prevent them from running a mile?

They say that Network Marketing is a numbers game, and the 'money' is all in the list. I'm afraid they're right, the key is having lots of people looking at your business at anyone time. So when you sit down to make that call, and you don't get through to one of your prospects, you've always got someone else to talk too from your list. A new prospect is not daft, they can sense that desperation in their voice straight away, they don't want to be apart of your practice run.

So how can you get prospects to chase you instead, in essence, become the 'hunted and not the hunter'.

1. This is usually happens to most prospects your typical Network Marketing Business.

The first thing they are told to do is to start filling their sales funnel, that's easier said than done. They are told to start by building a list of all their family and friends, and using a prepared script, call each one and pitch them as a customer or a prospect. After they've exhausted their family and friends list, and turned themselves into an utter nuisance, where do you they go from there? They are told to talk to as many people as they can each day, give out there're business cards to everyone who comes within three feet of them. Deliver leaflets and flyers, by walking the streets and pushing them through their neighbour's letterboxes, and pick to up that phone and start cold calling on a regular basis. Also they are encouraged to pitch the business to anyone who unexpectedly comes to the house, or cold calls them, you add them their list of prospects.

The problem with building your prospect list like this is that distributors soon give up. It might go well for the first couple of days; at first they organise themselves well, they make sure their business cards are handy, they count out the leaflets they are going to deliver each day, and they make that list for cold calling later. But unfortunately life gets in their way of doing these activities to the full. If it starts raining; they say 'oh well' 'I'll do double the leaflets tomorrow', or their favourite programme is on the TV so they put off making those cold calls for anther evening.

Your new distributor will soon be discouraged; if they are fortunate enough to talk to a prospect about their business and due to desperation mess it up and the prospect says no to them, which will have a compounding effect on their confidence and belief.

They know that they have let themselves down, and probably feel guilty. They also justify not filling their sales funnel by saying "one day won't matter if I don't deliver those leaflets, l can catch up later in the week".

2. This is what happens to all prospects that join our company:

Well, in our company we firmly believe that the only kind of prospects worth pursuing are those who have already shown an interest in what we are selling. To find those prospects we have a tried-and-tested system in place which you can plug into right away. This means that from Day 1 you are effectively marketing your business opportunity to people who have already proved they want to be involved.

I think you'll agree that 99.9% of prospects would much prefer to hear answer no. 2, and it's a much more effective way of addressing the question of "how do I get prospects to chase me?"

I have some books that can be sold on eBay for good money, but my problem is that i don't want to let go of these books. I have hundreds of them. I have some James Hadley Chase books that I saw been sold for top dollars on eBay, but i can't part with them.

I was mainly referring to Auto Responder emails. To end a normal email, I attach signatures. Takuya
Simple way to avoid Cold Calling Simple way to avoid Cold Calling - Gary, A chiropractor I work with hates cold calling (me too!) and he uses a technique to warm people up to using his services - it's so simple! In Sales your dealing with 3 pools of people: 1. Strangers 2. Prospects 3. Returning Customers You need to move people from one pool to the next. We'll concentrate on #1 and #2 as it's most relevant to your question. My Clients does the following (you just have to tailor it to your situation - be creative). My Client (we'll call him Bob) Bob leverages his time and resources to only get people that need his offer (pain relief) to put their hand up. Dealing with Strangers can get expensive and they don't like to be told what to do as they have no trust or relationship built with him. So to get Strangers to put their hands up he writes up an offer with a free report on a particular pain relief - let's say lower back pain (note: he can simply just change lower back pain to neck pain and have a new report). and uses multiple marketing vehicles to promote the Free report - magazines, newspaper, forums, postcards, private clinics etc. The only people picking up this information are the very people Bob would like as customers as they have Lower back pain. Bob's Free report ends with him stating his services and includes a Free in-house Consultation with no obligation. You'd be surprised at how easily Bob converts Strangers into Prospects. Note: They become prospects when they ask for the Free Guide and in exchange provide their contact details. This gives Bob unlimited opportunity to contact them for the Free in-house consultation with no obligation to continue using him. At this stage Bob's ability to close the sale lies in his office providing good customer service, Bob's ability to help the prospect and provide value at the free in-house consultation. Notice, he hasn't had to pick up the phone to COLD-CALL his Stranger pool or his Prospect pool. Hope that example helps to increase your prospecting!
Pitch Like A Girl: How a Woman Can Be Herself and Still Succ Pitch Like A Girl: How a Woman Can Be Herself and Still Succ - Pitch Like A Girl: How a Woman Can Be Herself and Still Succeed Ronna Lichtenberg 2005 From the inside cover: "As a woman, you probably feel uncomfortable when it comes to promoting yourself and asking for what you want." WHAT IN THE HECK IS THIS, I asked myself when I read that. Women are the fastest growing business owners in the US and Canada, there are t housands of women executives and CEOs - though not as many as might be expected, admittedly, yet the book opens with this surely out of date stereotype. However, as she continued to give examples of women who had high paying jobs but were routinely not paid as much as men because it hadn't occurred to them to ask for raises, etc., I decided it was probably true for a majority of businesswomen... Anyway, more of the info from the jacket: "Other books have told you how to get what you want by being more like a guy. Pitch Like A Girl tells you why its an advantage to be who you are and how to do better by bringing more of yourself to work." The TOC: 1. Pink and Blue 2. The Quck-dry Chapter 3. Closing Conclusion A Word to the guys The Empathy Quotient The Systemizing Quotient Bibliography And on a side note - non-fiction books without indexes - of which this is one, annoy me.
10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.
