Drive Traffic To Your Website With Free Advertising!

Guest post by: Kelly and Andrew

Article Overview: The key to being successful online is having a strong product or service and getting that product or service seen. Driving traffic to your site therefore becomes one of the most crucial elements behind success or failure. The tips and techniques I use in my online marketing generate thousands of views to my website per month and in turn create more customers or leads for me to deal with. Below are the key areas I target with my free advertising;

Drive Traffic To Your Website With Free Advertising!

1 - Free Classifieds.

I use craigslist to advertise my online business to cities in almost all areas of the world for free and I have found this to be a fantastic way to promote my website. Your ad remains online monthly and you have to keep tabs on this to update it or else it is removed from the site. You can only upload ads every second day. I also use video classified sites where you can promote your business with a video as well as a written description. Sites such as hotpluto are free and very worthwhile.

2 - Social Networking

Social networking is becoming extremely important when it comes to advertising your website, product or service. Joining groups with a similar interest is a fantastic way of building up your email list which in turn you can send content to about your related issues. Facebook, twitter etc are two hugely popular social networking sites.

3 - Blogging

I have found my blog pages to be y hub where I can keep all my videos, articles, photos etc in one place for people to view. By keeping everything in one place I can also direct people to my blog page where they can access all my content. A great tool to have. I have a blog on blogger, betternetworker, livevideo as well as a few others. They all offer different services and reach different audiences so it is worthwhile to have a few. Be sure to also join blog directories such as technorati where you can register your blog and make it easier for people to find.

4 - Articles

Writing articles relating to your product or service is a fantastic way of reaching a wide ranging audience. I aim to write 2 articles a day relating to my business and distribute them to my blogs and a wide range of article sites using article distribution software. For info on how to write killer articles check out my blog at meetkellyandandrew.blogspot and navigate to the article you need.

5 - Videos

As with articles I aim to produce 2 videos per day and then distribute them using tubemogul which is a free video distribution service. Your videos can also be shortened, lengthened, edited and tweaked in different ways so you can use one video a few times in different ways. There are many successful techniques when it comes to producing videos and a few not so successful ones. Be sure, once again to check out my blog, so I can go into this further with you.

Following these 5 key areas of free advertising will see your website visits go through the roof and in turn your leads/customers head the same way.

Wishing You Success

Re: What are your May Goals? Re: What are your May Goals? - Thanks Evan! I just changed one of my business goals from setting up a video site on Traffic-Geyser to: "Set up a newsletter email series (let's say 10 messages) on Get Response..." I reviewed Traffic Geyser in the latest episode of "David's Den" on my blog (see sig file), included an excellent video review of Traffic Geyser by John Detlif and decided against taking that particular project any further. Still lots to get done!
Re: Alexa Ranking Goals Re: Alexa Ranking Goals - LOL, I spoke too soon. Within a few hours of my post, Alexa updated the Traffic Rank on the toolbar. Note however that the 3 month Traffic Rank on Alexa.com has still not been updated...
Re: what position to request? Re: what position to request? - Hi Michael, Great suggestion from David, or you could try something around a design consultancy, How about Website Design Consultant, Design and Development Manager, Website Support and Development Manager or maybe Internet Business Development Consultant. Ultimately whatever you are comfortable with and good luck for the future, Mal.
Re: Free elecrtricity generator Re: Free elecrtricity generator - Can anybody help me with any aspect of my invention? In basic terms it is the energy of Gravity conserved and reused = (Auto engaging and disengaging shafts) = perpetual motion Perpetual motion + static friction generated in a pipe = free static electricity Free static electricity converted to usable electricity = Free usable electricity Free usable electricity generated by the constant friction generated by an auto engaging and disengaging machine that conserves the energy of gravity in a overcrankable clock spring The weight is easilly lifted back up the shaft with the aid of a double pully on ropes
