This tool if used correctly can give you greater popularity in search engines and give the reader an inside in to what you are all about. This in turn can lead the reader in to clicking on your link to find out more information, therefore driving traffic to your chosen site.

HOW TO USE ARTICLES TO DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE
Giving the reader some insight in to what it takes to achieve success, especially when first starting out, is a great way to begin your article marketing campaign. A series of articles relating to your chosen field can keep the reader looking for more, with good quality content in your writing. When writing an article there are several ways you can get your article to keep working for you even after submitting them to your chosen distribution sites. One article can go a long way and be seen in many different forms and mediums. Below are some tips I have found work for me in keeping my article "alive" for longer and find more "viewers".
1. Post it on your blog page.
Your blog spot should act as your "hub" for all your submitted articles and videos. This is a one stop shop for all your tips and advice for your potential customers. Update it regularly with good quality stuff.
2. Record a video version.
Offer your article a chance to be seen in a different medium by creating a video version of it. You can use video sharing sites to do this and create a link in your article directing people to view the article instead of reading the article.
3. Do a weekly podcast.
If you are doing 3-4 articles a week or more, then you will have all the content you need to record your articles and do a weekly podcast. This gives potential customers a chance to hear all of your articles at one time. A great free site for this is Audacity.
4. Combine articles into an eBook
After doing several articles on your chosen topics why not put them together and form an eBook. It is also a great idea once a potential customer visits your site to offer your eBook to them for free. As well as establishing a good relationship with them by giving them something for free, they will also see how committed you are to offering good advice.
5. List-build
If you are attempting to build a list of potential customers you need to be sending them new content regularly. Put in an auto responder series and send one article as part of the series or a summary of the article with a link back to the full version. This is a great way of keeping in touch with your potential client base.
Those are 5 effective ways I have found to get the most out of every article I write. With quality content and allowing your article the best chance to be seen by more people, you can only enhance your chance of driving more traffic to your website.
