Steps for Writing Killer Blog Articles.

The minuteyou think ofan idea thatyou want to write about, write it down on a piece of paper.Too many times there has been great content ideas wasted on my behalf as i'vecome up with ideas, and when the time came to writing, im blank. To avoid the risk of losing great content these days i write info down as soon as it occurs to me.

When I key the title into my laptop, the key points come to me next. If I plan to write a bulleted article then I write the bulleted sub-headings, or if I plan to write an essay style post then I would write the first sentence of three to five main areas that will be discussed.

Once I havedone thebeginning of each paragraph, I can write an introduction to these points before i even finish off the main paragraphs. This is where wesell the article; to keep the reader interested enough to keep reading. The introductiononly needs to be1 - 2 paragraphs long, a few sentences that will sum up what the entire article is going to be about.

Now it's time to work on the body of the article. Expand the key points to a paragraph or twoto explain in detail what you are trying to say. It doesn't matter what order you work at or about spelling or grammar for now, just write things down as they come to you.

Most blogging software will allow you to view your blog as the public will see it; I strongly recommend that you do this before finalising the post. You need to read your post from start to finish and make sure that the order of words and sentences you have used all make sense.

You should also be checking for spelling mistakes. There is nothing more off putting to a reader than a so called 'educating article' written by an illiterate!

Create 8 - 10 tags that directly describe your article, use the same tags as Meta Keywords. Don't abuse the use of Meta data at risk of them being ignored by the search engines and considered as spam.

After revising your article again publish the post for the public to view.

In summary, I have found these steps for blog article writing to be a good template to follow when I sit down to write. I hope you have found these tips just as useful!

Wishing you Success

Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy - Hi David, I agree about the Blogosphere. You have a smaller group that Blog, but do so on the premise that they think they should, but have never really considered the purpose of their Blog. Then I think there are a few SEO or Internet Marketing types that see Blogging as just another link building strategy. But the largest group of Bloggers, tend to be people who enjoy writing and discussing their topics of interest. Blogging is good for link building, but the true Blogger is a breed apart from the rest. They want to dialog, to debate, to have feedback and they are very willing to link to other worthwhile conversations that are relevant to their topic. I agree with you. These group of Bloggers obviously are passionate about their writing and together, they create huge conversation trails interactive and travel from Blog to Blog. But the evidence is clear with this group that loves what they write about. With comments enabled on a Blog and having a Blog tuned to a specific purpose you already have the evidence of original Social Media.

EvanCarmichael.com suggestion EvanCarmichael.com suggestion - Maybe I missed it but I would like to suggest that a Blog be created to support the Forum. The idea is that in the blog you put in snippets of some of the biggest conversations with a 'read more' link to the forum itself. Setting up the Blog and clipping some conversations onto it wouldn't take very long.
Jen's Blog - Spam protection Jen's Blog - Spam protection - Jen, I like the Blog and just posted a comment to one of your articles. From my experience you need to implement some sort of SPAM capture tools. i use them on my Blog and it's been a life saver as I'm getting hit by spam atleast 5 times a day. I use Wordpress and they have plugins like Captcha and SPAM Karma installed.
Board / Card games for entrepreneurs? Board / Card games for entrepreneurs? - Ok so this one is a little off topic but I'm curious to find out your thoughts: What are your favorite board and card games? My wife and I enjoy playing games together and are always on the hunt for new ones. There's a great cafe in Toronto called Snakes & Lattes which has over 2,000 games to play while you relax with friends and have a drink (we actually just came back and usually go every couple of weeks). Three of our favorites right now are: * Ticket to Ride * Pandemic * Killer Bunnies Are you into board and card games? Which are your favorites?
