Article Overview: Your website is your shopfront. Traditional businesses had a shop, factory, warehouse etc for people to come and visit when they wanted to purchase a product or service. For an online business the website is the place where people will visit and therefore being able to find that website is one of the most important aspects for achieving success.

Success Online – 3 Simple Rules

You can have the best product or website in the business but unless both are marketed properly, then no-one will know about your product or your website. Thats why the 3 rules below are so important to achieving success online.

Rule 1 - An effective SEO strategy

When people type in the product or service they need into a search engine such as google, then you want your website to be seen ahead of the rest. It is only natural that once we have a page of websites in front of us to go for the first one or two we see. Now I am not promising to get you at the top of search engine searches but there are some tips and techniques you can follow that will help. Rule 2 - An advertising/marketing strategy

As i stated earlier the only way to get your website seen is to market it and drive traffic (people) to it. The more traffic the more potential customers. There are several different ways to market/promote any kind of website. There are free advertising tips and paid advertising tips below that I am sure will benefit you. Rule 3 - Social networking

Social networking sites are a fantastic way to brand yourself and get your name out there. Blogging daily and using sites such as facebook, twitter etc as well as joining groups within these sites will also boost the traffic to your website. Joining in on forums on topics relating to your interests and line of business is also beneficial.

By following these 3 rules I am sure you will be well on the way to achieving success online.
