Internet Marketing Business - Easy To Do and Easy Not To Do

Guest post by: Colette Morris

Article Overview: Working for yourself is not an easy task. You alone are accountable for your actions. Most new business owners especially MLMer's or Network Marketers have a misconception that they buy into a business and they just spend a few hours a week, probably doing stuff that is not conducive to generating income into their business.

Internet Marketing Business - Easy To Do and Easy Not To Do

What am I talking about? Succeeding that's what. Succeeding is something that you have to be consistent about, you need time to succeed and you need to have a plan and more importantly take action against that plan. Far too often many who decide to work for themselves part time with the goal of eventually working full time do not have what it takes. Only a small percentage of them success whilst a large portion (over 97%) fail.

The difference between succeeding and failing is the DOING. Failures fail TO DO. Think about that, FAILURES FAIL TO DO.

Working for yourself is not an easy task. You alone are accountable for your actions. Most new business owners especially MLMer's or Network Marketers have a misconception that they buy into a business and they just spend a few hours a week, probably doing stuff that is not conducive to generating income into their business. Yes, we know that the face of internet marketing has changed and there are lots more ways you can connect socially online.

The key is to connect. First and foremost, you still have to build rapport, that old concept has not changed. However, you also need to build up a credible character reference online, so that your potential customers and business partners can check you out online before doing any business with you. If you are not doing much action online, then where are they going to find out about you.

These days it is all about trusting someone. There are so many scam artists or people just out to take money of you, that you have to be really wary of where you are investing your money and who with. Is it safe, are they genuine, will this really work. All questions running around your prospects mind.

Taking the time to build up your creditability online is worthwhile, laying the foundations as they say. Brand your self appropriately. Changing your mindset is also key. Read personal development books, improve your self growth. Get the right message out there about you. If you lay strong foundations, then your tower will be hard to blow over.

Taking action each day in your business and giving your business the quality time it needs to thrive is key to succeeding online. Imagine if you were working for a million dollar company, how much time and effort would you put into researching, marketing, advertising etc. You have to think the same for your own home business, it is a potential million dollar earner and once you begin thinking that way you will start to DO and be consistent with your actions on a daily basis.

Be productive with what you do. Make sure each action is an income producing action, that way you know you are working towards the right direction. Don't waste time on stuff that is not income producing.

Remember building your online business is 'easy to do and also easy not to do'.

To your success

Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!
Re: Domain name sugestion Re: Domain name sugestion - Hi Anelly, Support-Box.com sounds very good to me. Easy and catchy.
Delegating Delegating - Good info and interesting list. Easy to see how the authority or power is slowly passed to the person - the secret would be knowing WHEN to move to the next step. I like to avoid people who are stuck at the #1 level. Chris
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
