The Elevator to Success is Out Of Order

The Elevator to success is out of order,

You'll have to use the stairs... one step at a time. Quote by Joe Girard

Many of us look at others who are successful and think they are just plain lucky to be where they are. Let me tell you from experience, they are not. Everything they have gained is through sheer hard work trial and error, yes trial and error, because you have to learn from your mistakes.

So here are my top tips to success some of which I have learnt along the way and some which have been passed down to me from successful people.

1. Educate yourself. If you have worked for someone all your life, and now you are embarking on the journey to self employment, you need to change your mindset. Otherwise you will always be an employee. Personal Development is key to change, read books and subscribe to forums, courses network with individuals who you want to emulate. Feel yourself change and grow.

2. Success leaves clues.... Look at what other successful people in your industry have done or are doing. They are obviously doing something right or they would not be where they are, right!

3. Give yourself goals. Succesful people have BIG goals. So do yourself a favour and think BIG. Write your goals down, don't just think about them. Are they SMART,Simple,Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely. Put a time to all your goals as to when you will achieve them. Think to yourself as if you have already achieved them, what the change would be to your lifestyle now.

4. Make a plan. The key thing here is to make a plan and FOLLOW IT. You plan should follow your goals. Be consistent in taking action. Monitor your plans and reward your successes.

5. Become a leader that people want to follow. Encourage your team and others to also become leaders. It is about accountability, being accountable for yourself and letting others be accountable for themselves. The worst thing you can do is ‘baby sit' new team members. Encourage independence and leadership. Great book to read on this is Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Successful People

6. Network with your peers. Going to your company events encourages networking, learning and entrepreneurship. It also give you inspiration, motivation and ideas to do in your home business. You create links and partnerships that could be life changing. It gives you the heads up on what is happening in your company, which if you are smart you can go back and put a campaign in ahead of the rest.

I hope you have found these tips helpful. If you want to work with me and my team click the link on my bio for more information about the amazing platform we are using to improve our existing online business and generate additional income through other income streams.

To your Prosperity!

Facebook and Business Facebook and Business - While on the Elevator today I read that MySpace and Facebook are surpassing adult-sites in traffic volumes - just thought that was interesting fact. As far as your business is concerned I think that having a Facebook account is viable as long as you keep it business and the most important thing to increase your traffic would be to link up with people well-known in your business-circle. e.g. if your were in the Marketing Business Circle I would link up with people like Dan Kennedy, Mike Filsame, Yanik Silver etc. People linked up with them will now start pouring into your content.

Re: Success Re: Success - I study success intently, and would like to share: Here's two excellent and nearly identical success-formulas from a couple of the world's masters. FIRST FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Clear, Definite Purpose 3. Committed Decision 4. Take Action In Faith (Bonus Secret Sauce: 5. Repeat Consistently) I made a video about this, but am not allowed to link it yet. Google "Ryze Success Steps" for it. Oh, and this is Napoleon Hill's (Master Of Success Laws)'s Formula. SECOND FORMULA: 1. Passionate Desire 2. Understand It Is Already Done (Faith) 3. Relax & Allow It To Unfold (Go about your life calmly) This one is courtesy of Abraham-Hicks (inspiration for the movie The Secret). Hope that helps!
Success Strategies Success Strategies - How to get the results you want now? Success Strategies and Action Steps I have used are: The Power of Choice Where you are at this present moment, is exactly perfect from the choices you have made. If you want to be somewhere else, you have to decide clearly what that is (your goal/outcome) and create action steps to achieve this. The Power of Focus The book "The Power of Focus" by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt, is one of my treasures in my Entrepreneur Library. If you focus on what you want versus what you do not want, your conscious and sub-conscious mind will direct attention to this. The movie, What the Bleep, Down the Rabbit Hole, explains this in detail about quantum physics and what we create in our lives. The Power of Commitment This is not about commitment to others. The first step is the commitment, your word, you make to yourself. Accountability and responsibility are additional success strategies and ingredients to creating the success, defined by you, that you want. The commitment to others reflects your integrity, your word and the team you work with. Co-workers, clients, yoru family, friends and community.
