Thinking is Great But Action is What Counts

Guest post by: Patrick Fitz-Gibbon

Article Overview: It is fine to spend some time thinking and planning when you get involved in a new business or you if you are already in business. In fact if you don't then you are most likely to cause yourself many problems. However you can have the perfect plan and the perfect product but if you dont take ACTION then nothing will ever happen. Action is key to any business succeeding, without it you will end the day in the same place you started the day. So take action now , it is better to do and fail than not to do at all.

Thinking is Great But Action is What Counts

Thinking is great but without ACTION, it is actually worthless.

To be able to think about your business, your life, your next step, is great but without you actually putting your thoughts into action, and massive immediate action, you may as well just spend the day in bed or watching TV.

Action is everything. Without it you will end the day in exactly the same place you started it and that will not, now or ever, result in you achieving whatever gaols and ambitions you may have.

It is a simple fact and maybe even a law of nature that those who act quickly and follow thru on those actions will always have more success and that has never been truer than in the case of network marketing. The quick and sure profit, the slow and timid fail, do not become one of the failures.

The quick create massive action right away and by doing this they gain massive momentum in their business. Simply by doing this they get a feeling of achievement, of excitement and of success that will carry them through the hard yards and out the other side to success.

Once you make a choice to join a company or start a business do not then decide to evaluate the compensation plan or how the products stack up. You should have done all that before you joined the business (and that is another story all in itself).

Rather ACT. Copy the leaders in the company, start writing articles, get on Facebook, do some newspaper ads, do whatever it takes for you to get going and if you fail in one area then it will happen for you in another area, of that you can be assured.

Don't be afraid to try something new. It is not failure that will cause you to stay in the same position you are in now rather it is being afraid to act and to push yourself just that little bit harder.

You will find plenty of these people who are "afraid" simply by doing a Google search on the industry and looking at all the scam articles that abound. These are people who have not made the industry work for them and rather than hold themselves accountable, they simply "bash "something they could not make work.

Be what I call a "positive perfectionist". That is a fire, aim, ready type of person. They are more often than not criticised but just watch them go and get results. Do not give up once you pull that trigger. See it through until you make it. You should have done your research on your company so you should already know it works, once you know this then it is up to you to make it work.

In other words, you don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going.

Act and grow rich in Network Marketing. Think and go Broke. It really is a simply philosophy but it works.

I'm listening right now and I really like "Action Item #3: "Time is your most important resource; you can do SO MUCH in ten minutes... divide your life into 10 minute units and sacrifice as few of them as possible"... Great! I "liked" and "tweeted" the youtube video.
Re: What is one of your favorite sales and marketing book? Re: What is one of your favorite sales and marketing book? - Great post. I love biographies. My favorite book is The Magic of Thinking Big. It's such a quick, easy read. But the big take away message is you should dream big because most people don't bother to dream big and actually try big. The book cites the example of a job posting for an executive position gets far fewer responses than a job for a mid level manager or a mailroom clerk. So Dream Big & Do Big because most people won't. Off to get the Zappos book.
Re: Just Saying Hello Re: Just Saying Hello - Hi Camil, It's great to have you here! You're very lucky to have someone like David to take you under his wing and mentor you. There is a lot that one can learn from him, including myself. To answer your question about Pay Per Action, PPA simply means paying only after someone signs up for a newsletter, buys something, clicks a link on your site, etc. You don't pay simply for them clicking on the ad and going to your site, they have to take some sort of [i:3d00o8mo]action[/i:3d00o8mo] on your site. This would be a good alternative compared to PPC, and as Tanny mentioned, MSN's Ad Center would be a good PPC alternative. Yahoo Marketing would also be cheaper. Great questions so far... keep them coming! There are plenty of members here willing to help. All The Best, Alan
