The art of good text on a web site is not flowery prose and poetic sentiment. It is about shouting out your offer.

This means what the user (and Google) can find on your page will answer the very basic question - do you sell or provide the information or product the searcher is looking to purchase?

If you can answer this in the first paragraph, then you are well on your way to being a successful site.

It is all very well having world beating content on your site however you need to ensure it is in the right place.

Web pages can be very long and sometimes this is good and sometimes this is bad however do not be too concerned with length of text. Instead, focus your attention on where on the page the keywords and phrases you have chosen appear.

Ask yourself, are they being used in the most effective way possible?

We have seen that Google favors keywords and phrases that appear right at the top of the page and this is the key.

The post that you are writing, is not a novel or play. It does not need a gentle fluffy introduction to what is going on; nor does the reader need to be warmed up.

Your post needs to come out with all the guns blazing; with a definitive statement that summarizes what is contained on the page. It should be rich in keywords and phrases, direct, clear, and constantly calling the reader to action. Use the rest of the text to explain and qualify your statements, not the other way around,

Although it is the human user you ultimately must appeal to if the web site itself is going to be effective however the Googlebot and other search engine spiders also must be at the forefront of your mind when you are creating copy for your web pages.

This all boils down to a neat little marriage that will keep both parties interested and happy; and this is known as keyword density.

If you flood your text with keywords, it will not make sense to your end users and will lead them to abandon the site.

Therefore, you should be looking for a density of about 4 percent which means that for every hundred words of text on your page, you should mention your keywords about four times. Stick with this rule and the spiders, the bots, the crawlers, and even human users will regard your content as strong.

Here is a tip for you to do early in your efforts to become an Internet Marketing professional.

Pick a product page, or a page that describes one of your services, and take a long hard look at the text. Have you mentioned everything at least once? Have you placed the most important keywords and phrases within the first and second paragraphs?

If not, rework the text so that it appeals to both the human user and Google; and you will need to compromise as this is a business not a creative writing course.

Chances are that you will soon learn what works and what does not work so that you feed the spider good food on your site in order to be No 1 on Google.

In order to help you, I will continue to post (on this blog site) tips and techniques I have obtained and learned from My Go-To-Market Partners as I became an Internet Entrepreneur and built aspenIbiz, my online business, along with my various Web 2.0 properties and affiliate web sites. Together, these tips will provide a traffic formula that will improve your Page Ranking and drive qualified leads to your website.

Finally, I would like to provide Best Wishes for a Prosperous New Year!
