If you refer to yourself as an online entrepreneur, and you are not blogging, you are cheating yourself. If you an internet business owner and you are, that is great, and the content of this article is not intended for you. In this article I will clearly define what a blog is. Explain to you how a it works. I will also tell you the advantages of having a blog as it relates to your business.

What is a blog? A blog is a web based journal or diary. People use blogs for many reasons. For example, a blog can used to communicate with friends or family online. You can post your thoughts and messages on the daily journal and you can receive comments and post from others interested in your topic. Blogs can be private or public. A Blog can also be used as marketing device for small business owners. A blog can keep current clients and business associates abreast and well informed on current issues relating to the blog owner's business. Most of the time a blog is usually written by one person in a manner that can be honest, real and even controversial.

What are the advantages of having a business blog? Blogs are not complicated, thus giving them mass appeal. Blogs are simple and easy to construct. Blog are unlike the common websites, you can get them up and running quickly and their content are flexible and very accessible. You can use your blog to email newsletters and other rich and relevant content and therefore avoiding spam issues. You can teach from a blog very effectively because of its interactive and real time capabilities. Establishing a blog can enhance your credibility.

In summary, having and using a blog for your online business is essential. Keeping your customers and would-be customers current on issues regarding your business is crucial. Unlike the traditional website, blogs are easy to construct and have mass appeal. Having a blog increases your credibility and can enhance your customer base. Do your due diligence, and start a blog today. Being an online entrepreneur and using your blog as a marketing tool can prove to be very beneficial to the success of your business.
