Internet Networking Marketing – Do You Know the Basics for Article Marketing? Part One

In the world of internet networking marketing, article marketing and article writing can be a very effective means of communication and a very cost effective method of attracting new prospects or clients. Article marketing occurs when business owners write useful and pertinent information within their chosen fields or industry for others to use or benefit from. Articles that are well written can be published free of charge by online article directories. Articles can be distributed within the marketplace via internet or in traditional print media. In this article I will give you the basics for article marketing and article writing to use in promoting your online business opportunity or ideas.



Every article should have a biography or resource box and a line that contains contact information regarding the writer's business enterprise. A well written article gives the author credibility and respect within their marketplace and enhances their ability to attract new prospects, clients, and more readers. Article marketing is also another way of attracting targeted prospects to the writer's website. Article marketing can be an integral part of one's ongoing attraction marketing endeavors.



The first step in writing an effective article is to define your targeted audience. The more you focus on defining your targeted audience the more it increases the likelihood of attracting prospects or readers that have something in common regarding what you are writing about. These readers can relate to your article content, and because of the reader's connection to your content, may increase your response rate. There are two ways in you can connect or target your defined audience, you can connect with people that are very similar to you, or you can choose a completely different targeted audience.



The second step is selecting your keywords and performing a keyword research. There are two types of keywords. There are long-tailed keywords and short-tailed keywords. Keywords are indispensable for your articles ranking and relevancy on the major search engines. If you are not well informed regarding the importance of keywords, do your homework and due diligence before you begin your article marketing campaign. An example of a short-tailed keyword would be "roses", and an example of a long-tailed keyword would be "long stem red roses". Your article will show up in search engines because of certain keywords within the title and body content of your article. You have an option of doing your keyword research on the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.



In summary article marketing can be a cost effective and valuable resource in your online marketing campaign. Article marketing gives the author credibility within their marketplace or industry. Article marketing is another way of attracting prospects or readers to your website. Defining your targeted audience is paramount for attracting the type of readers or prospects you want. Long-tailed are indispensable for ranking and relevancy on search engines. Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to assist you with your keyword research. Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
