Top Internet Home Based Business Opportunities – Juxtaposed to the Traditional Nine to Five Job – Part One

The traditional nine to job is going down the path of the dinosaur for millions of part time and full time home based online entrepreneurs' world wide. These internet marketers probably made their decisions based a myriad of different reasons. Let's explore several of those reasons why countless numbers have made the transformation from being an employee to being self employed. For many of them the decision to pursue their dreams of self reliance was a no brainer based on their logic and reasoning.

Let's start with the rat race of morning commute to one's job and the evening commute from one's job juxtaposed to walking to your home office devoid of hassle and stress free located within one's private residence. Now let's take a look at one's morning and evening commute to their nine to five job. There are traffic jams, irate and impatient drivers tailgating you while you are driving, that is very aggravating to say the very least, and driving in inclement whether thus putting your safety in jeopardy and don't forget about the tollbooths. If you don't drive to work you may take the a bus or a train to work, that means being cramped quarters like sardines in a can, with strangers, and dealing the schedules of public transportation. Or one may be a member of a carpool for their daily commute, and the logistics of that can be a royal pain. The stress, hassle, and inconvenience of waiting in long lines to get your coffee or breakfast before getting to work becomes nonexistent when are working from home, that is not the case for the traditional nine to five employee.

Entrepreneurs strongly believe they have a finite amount of time on this earth, and they must use their time as wisely as possible regarding their quality of life. They feel time is their most precious commodity, with that being stated; let's check out their feelings and logic about time regarding the traditional nine to five job. An average employee works for an employer on the average, anywhere from eight to ten hours per day Monday through Friday, coupled with the average commute daily time to be around an hour and half combined both ways. Let's say the average employee gets around six to eight hours of sleep per day. Okay, now let's do the math regarding time on your job, commute time, and sleep time. On the average 8.5 hours on the job, another 1.5 hours for the daily commute, and 6 hours of sleep that equals 67% of an employee's time during traditional nine to five work week. On average, an employee has 8 hours out of 24 hours during their work week to spend time with his or her loved ones, time for themselves, and other daily activities. For the true online home business owner the preceding stated use of time is totally unacceptable and the antithesis of how they choose to use their own precious time. They feel that the freedom to control their activities within their own time should their decision and not one of employers'.

Another interesting reason why millions are choosing to work from home is that they get to choose what kind of individuals they want to associate with and build positive and long lasting interpersonal relationships on a daily basis. Once again let's observe an employee's daily routine regarding his or her co-workers from the vantage point of self employed internet marketer. More times than not, an employee will have to deal with annoying and aggravating co-workers in the work place and work place politics on a daily basis. Employees in many cases have to deal with a supervisor they do not like, do not respect, or is totally inept in their opinion. When working from home these forms of stress becomes obsolete.

The daily commute, the daily expenditure of time, and the daily individual interpersonal relationships within the work place we have juxtaposed to working from home, in this reading are just a very few reasons why millions of individuals are opting out of the traditional nine to five workplace. The work at home entrepreneur no longer feels she or he are being held hostage by the aforementioned set of circumstances. They feel that being in complete control of their time, interpersonal relationships, and the relief of the stress of the daily commute adds exponentially positive improvement to their quality of life. Yet millions of people continue to choose to be a part of the traditional nine to five employees, I guess that is what makes the world go round. Stay tuned for more juxtapositions of the life traditional nine to five employee and the life of the stay at home online business owner.

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,
